Wow great we will have 10M$ of useless caproom because nobody we can sign for that will replace even half of what we lose and be overpaid for years to come.

One of the best young cores, dude you should be a comedian. None of the players you list has any kind of star potential whatsoever except maybe Clark but we don't know that since he doesn't get any playing time.

More likely he will be wasted at PF next season where he is no mismatch because that is the only way he will be able to get PT.

Did you actually watch our team last year?

I would explain to you why you're wrong, but it would clearly be lost on you.

You don't need to explain anything to me apparently you are happy with blindly following a team no matter what they do and will always spin it positively somehow.

Dragic is young and could easily develop into an all-star point guard.
Clark played extremally well in college and sooner or later could be a good pro player as well.
Dudley has improved drastically since playing for us and I imagine to get better.
Lawal played very well in college, most games outplaying Favors.
Lopez is finally getting things down and is a defensive post threat now, big upside.

Not the best group of players but not a bad group. Gotta work with what we got. The Suns dont need fairweather fans who only like them when they win.

BTW Why does everyone call B-EZ SuperCoolBeas?

We don't have the best bench in the league? Is that your opinion? We might not have guys on huge contracts off the bench like Orlando or Boston or LA but in terms of production our bench, which is made up of vet min, LLE, 2nd round picks and "throw in's" from trades (Dudley), they were 10th in the NBA during the regular season with 33.2 ppg. In the playoffs, they upped that production to 34.1ppg, which is 1st in the NBA. Almost every teams' bench plays less minutes and have less impact in the post season where as our bench's minutes stayed consistent and even upped their production.

I agree with the cap room argument. $10m isn't enough to replace Amare's presence in the paint, but I think his production can be replaced. We just need to spend the $10m wisely. Obviously getting a David Lee or Boozer probably won't happen but even getting a 5th tier guy like Amir Johnson or Jermaine O'Neal or even Drew Gooden, and not only will our rebounding get better, our offensive production would be similar if we tweak the system.

I think we have a solid young core. Probably not one of the best in the league, but better than those of other contenders (minus Portland and OKC).

hahah suns fans are so emo and ungrateful. Don't be like Laker fans.

I'm just happy I get the chance to see the Suns play exciting basketball and win at a decent rate. I'm sure that line up you mention can still contend for the playoffs.

That lineup won't contend for anything without Amare lead by two 38 year olds.

And even if just contending for the playoffs isn't good enough if you are waiting for a championship for more than 30 years.

Watching a declining old team struggle to stay over .500 is a nightmare especially since we have no young player worth rebuilding around still. We need to be in full rebuild-mode this upcomming season not try to extend our long shut window another year and be in the same awful position again in a year.

Goran Dragic develop into an allstar point guard? How delusional some people are... Besides his 4th quarter magic against San Antonio he was lucky to get the ball a yard close to the rim on most of his shots.

He still has no clue how to run the offense. He knows 3 plays:

1. Dribble/Hold the ball for 10 seconds and then try to drive to the basket and throw up a crazy shot.
2. Driddble/Hold the ball for 10 seconds and then take a jumper with a hand in his face.
3. Hand the ball off to Barbosa who tries the same.

If you said Stephen Curry, Darren Collison, Russel Westbrook, John Wall, Brandon Jennings etc might develop into an allstar PG you would have a point. Dragic's ceiling would be a starting PG a la Calderon best case.

Dragic was a second round pick, if he becomes a 6th man caliber player, its worth it already. Considering that he is likely to be comparable to Ben Udrih already says he is a steal.

Will he be a star? Most suns fans dont think so.... but he can be that Avery Johnson, Derrick Fischer type point guard... basically a point guard who can run the team based on knowledge, discipline and doing things within his skill set... Dragic has that. Im happy for him just to be a 20-24 minute guard off the bench ... just being useful.

The real 2 players that the Suns are banking on are Lopez and Clark.

Lopez has shown he is a decent pick at No.15 and can be a starter, basically a less rebounding Bynum. Thats fine if he continues that path.

Clark is the x-factor.
A lot of experts think he is a top 5 talent during his draft year but lacked the motor. Hopefully maturity will improve his drive and motor. I am really really hoping he plays a lot of minutes next season.

Dudley is a bonus... the dude doesnt even look like a basketball player nor an athlete... well maybe a baseball player at most... he doesnt have very much athletism compared to other SFs in the league, but he is very crafty and smart... smart enough to realize that by improving his 3 pt spot up shots, he will be well sort after by any teams... hopefully the suns keep him.

The one thing the Suns still lack is the "next" franchise player...

How is Clark going to play minutes next season behind Dudley and Hill?

He will be moved to PF if Amare leaves and at that position he is not a special player.

As if something like that even has a 0.0000000000000001% chance of happening.

And you call yourself a Suns fan?
I thought a fan sticks by the team at all times.

You ain't not Suns fan. You just like to watch an NBA and happen to like the Suns.

Hey I might start watching OKC next year, but I can still proudly say I'm a Suns fan and I'll pick the Suns over any other team in the league any given day. Can you do that?

And to all ya'll Dragic doubters, who knows how he's gonna turn out? You can read the future?
You guys are hating on him so you can maintain your stereotype against the Suns being a crappy team which is not true at all.
You guys are just hating for no reason.

Plus he's a second round pick. Him being able to do what he does now has already exceeded our expectations.
Some players drafted in mid 1st round might even perform worse than he does.

Suns fan my ass, people. All ya'll are just hating. And to whoever that says we should rebuild right now? You're a joke, a big fat f---ing joke.

That's a win-win for both team, given the circumstances. (NJ will have all the cap room but no star to sign as Amare/JJ go to Miami, LBJ/Bosh to Chicago, seem to be done deals.) It makes too much sense for it to happen. I'll give you that.

I guess Phoenix fans are just desperate for a championship. I don't blame the city.

We didnt say he was an all-star point guard NOW? Did we? Give the kid a break, its his second year. You cant expect him to know every play in the book in his second year. A few more years in the system and he'll know alot more.

Key word was Dragic COULD develop into an all-star caliber PG, or at least a solid starter. With the time hes been in the NBA hes only gotten better and better. Give him time, you all seem to wanna give Clark time so why not Dragic

This is turning into an even worse scenario.

We pay Frye 6M$ per season and try to sign Hakim Warrick to 6M$ per season.

Hello 40 win season, Hello #14 pick and no playoffs. Goodbye first round picks in 2013 and 2015 to get rid off Frye.
