Nets front runners to get Lebron?

If we get a top GM in place to take over for Rod come July and we can clear up a little more cap room without diluting our young talent base then I think this can come to fruition. The Nets have the most young talent to surround Lebron right now immediately as well as one of the best situations in regards to cap room and powerful competent leadership. I think it's Nets/Bulls/Heat now. If we can grab Bosh and bring in Lebron this team can be instant title contenders next year. I don't want to get my hopes up though.

Im sure lebron wants a young team thats gonna take a few years to get good. Hes been waiting his whole career now hes gonna wait again? Dont get me wrong of nets play their cards right they will be good. But they arent what lebrons looking for. He wants a win now team. Your gonna tell me that team you have now will win a championship this year? If not he aint coming. Unless your owner puts 100 mil in an offshore account that no one knows about.....which is possible assuming how rich he is.

If Lebron comes, we're a win now team. Bank on it. Doesn't mean we'll win the trophy, but we'll be in the mix. Besides, Lebron's been part of a "win now team" that maxed out and had no ability to go up from that point. Nets will give him a team that can win now, next year, the year after, and the year after.

Some people are getting wrong. I dont buy that WIN NOW team. If he really wants to win right away, he would go to Lakers, Celtics, Dallas or Magic. Do you really think he would go to teams like that? And if he even tries, no way those teams are going to be able to acquire a talent like him, going to be really hard, and he knows that. Plus, he's not going to a team where another player already made a stamp on that team. He wants his OWN team.

What a WIN NOW team really means is a team that has enough talent to surround him plus another allstar such as teams like Bulls and Nets, because the Bulls have enouh money to sign two max and the Nets, i believe, will find a way to increase their cap space. We have assets to use to gain more cap via trades, we are not the Knicks who doesnt even have a first round pick next year. No way he's going to Miami because we all know that's Wade's team and the Knicks just doesnt have the pieces to do it. Bulls can be a possibility and although Jordan is not there anymore, by being the best player that has ever played the game, for me, it wouldnt help that he played tgose years in Chicago.

I might be partial to the Nets because they are my team but if you really think about it, we have the best shot of landing him.

I still think it's Cleveland or New Jersey.

agreed...if lebron was on the nets (pretty much anybody) he makes them contenders

Harris
Lee
Lebron
Favors
Lopez

Startin lineup looks great...bench is weak though with just Twill..if you guys can get bosh also??

Lopez > the cavs 2nd option
Harris > Mo will
Lee > Delonte

add in Avery Johnson who is one of the best coaches in the league...and a promising new owner

I'm not getting too excited as it's just like what Adam said, it's just rumors.

Well said Adam in the next few weeks it's going to come out that Lebron wants to sign with every team that has cap space.
