Just a Reminder of Some Forum Rules

For the most part, the behavior on this board, is fine, there are just a couple of things we'd like to bring up. None of these are targeted at specific people, they are merely a part of some growing patterns I have seen lately.

1. From here on out, we'll be warning people for saying things like "Your mancrush on _____" or other things like this. More than anything, this is just a disrespectful way to post, and it's not necessary in order to get one's point across. You can point out a posters inherent biases as you see them, but you can do it in a more respectful way. So from now on, this will be considered baiting, and people will be warned for it.

2. Feel free to use the e-mail account for any questions or complaints you guys may have. We'd all like to have PMs back. I'm as frustrated about that as anyone about that. But for now, for matters that can't be handled on the boards, we can use this e-mail account. So for any issues you have with posters, please, please, please do not take them up publicly.

3. This in particular hasn't come up much lately, but some people in the past seem to be confused by it. It is not your responsibility to deal with trolls by insulting them back. Report a post and move on. If something isn't being taken care of, contact us.

4. I mentioned that you could contact us if you have any questions. If anybody is having any trouble figuring out how something works, or whether or not something works, contact us, and we'll try to help you out.

5. In general avoid backseat modding. Again any issues with our performance should be discussed privately, and any specific posts that you think violate the rules should be reported.

6. And this hasn't been an issue for a while, but it's always good to keep it as a reminder: no political discussions. Politics have derailed way too many discussions on these boards, and have led to way too many personal battles. There's not tolerance for this--don't bring it up, and don't respond to it if someone else brings it up. Report it and move on.

Anyway, you guys are mostly a very well-behaved bunch, and we appreciate that. This is mostly just here so that when people do come along and break the rules, they can't claim ignorance of the rules. Thanks.
