Yup.. and you can't fault Blair with that man... If you're saying if Blair was 7 foot, we don't need a Center, then you can say that even to George Hill. If George Hill is 7 foot... DAMN, we don't need a Center AND a SF.

Well he has a 7'2'' wingspan, that's pretty good for a guy listed at 6'6''.

With that wing span you would think the kid could finish a few layups. Besides his foul trouble issues my only gripes with him.

Yeah he has some trouble laying in the most basic of shots at times, that's for sure.

The Wolves are shopping Jefferson, what do you guys make of his game and whether he would work here?

Honestly, where does this "not being able to finish layups" come from? I've yet to seen it.

I'm thinking by layups, you basically mean layups in a clear lane and open layups kind of stuff. Otherwise, if you're actually talking about "under the basket" type of finishes, then you got a point. I do feel that Blair sometimes unable to finish plays under the rim but that's mostly because he had to do fakes, double pumps, and all those stuff. He's short out there and if he just goes up as if no one is there, he's gonna be blocked blatantly. He's out there playing Center exclusively being guarded by 7 foot guys. I think once he's able to play next to Duncan or Splitter (making him a PF), then he'll be guarded by guys who are 6'9'' (average PF height) instead of 7 foot and he'll have an easier time finishing plays.

as for Jefferson, I mentioned this on the trade board because there are some trades that was suggested to us. Personally, I think Jefferson makes sense for us if Splitter isn't happening. Either he disappoints or he's just not coming to San Antonio. I think if we treat this like a Duncan-Robinson thing, it could work. Jefferson, at this point, is a stronger post up player than Duncan and is still able to play 38 minutes opposed to Duncan's 32. If we make Duncan focus more on Defense the way Robinson did, then it can work out. But that has to mean we don't make Duncan our primary offensive option anymore. That has to be Al. Al has to be the one to carry the offensive load from the paint while Duncan the defensive enforcer. If it's the other way around (Duncan offense, Al defense) then it's gonna be a disaster. Al has no midrange game and not good on defense.

Miller got a 5 year 30 mil deal from LA. We're certainly not beating that offer.

Next up on my list: Matt Barnes.

Please come.

Yeah, but if we give Splitter the MLE, we're left with BAE (2.08 mil). I don't think he takes that deal... It's just not looking likely that we get Miller. Right now, I really want Matt Barnes. I don't even care if Jefferson comes back if Barnes signs here.

Agreed. Barnes provides toughness and great D at a fraction of RJ's contract.

Dude.. can we stick on disagreeing? It's just not fun anymore with no one to argue back and forth. Just stop it mannnn!!! stop it! stop!

But yes, right now on the perimeter with Manu, Parker, Hill, and Anderson, we sorely need a defensive stopper who only needs to be able to hit the corner 3. Not even my favorite Mike Miller fills that role better than Matt Barnes. Right now, because of the draft, we're better off with Matt Barnes than Mike Miller. Hope we get him here.

It's the offseason man, we're on break. Save the disagreements for the season proper.

Agreed.

The bickering will continue once the season starts alright? Until then Donna, we're gonna be like married couples on honeymoon.

I definitely didn't think Miller will reject that offer, but with the market starting to dry up, Miller might actually get a deal more than the MLE from someone desperate. There's a rumor that Clippers had a meeting with Mike. If they missed out on Lebron (most likely), then I can see them having no choice but to offer a big deal to Mike Miller. Not Max deal ofcourse, but it's possible that they overpay to the extent of like 8 mil per year to bring him in. On that note, I also think there's a huge possibility that Richard Jefferson gets something like a 5 year 40 mil deal from someone. Salmons got a 5 year 39 mil.

I'm not counting on Miller anymore. Can someone start a Matt Barnes thread?
