I'm also curious as what big men we're looking at. My vote is for Ian Mahinmi and then Amir Johnson, though I think Mahinmi, at 6'11 is the better option. Have you heard any news about this kid SF? I posted an article earlier about our new assistant coach, Snyder and the fact that he's worked with Mahinmi when he was an assistant coach with San Antonio. I hope that connection can pay off for us. Here is an article about our team's needs. Pretty good take on things:
http://www.libertyballers.com/2010/6/7/ ... he-rundownI like the idea of adding Shaun Livingston as a reserve PG. I'd love to get rid of WG and bring in Livingston. It would allow us to use Lou as a backup SG because of Livingston's height.
And here is their list of available big men: Brendan Haywood, Amir Johnson, Johan Petro, Hilton Armstong, Ian Mahinmi, Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Patrick O'Bryant, and Darko Milicic.
Here's a great clip of Mahinmi:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR59Fga7NLcI could live with the following lineup next season:
PG: Holiday, Livingston
SG: Turner, Lou, Carney
SF: Iguodala, Young, Carney
PF: Speights, Brand
C: Hawes, Mahinmi, Smith
This lineup gives us two decent PG's, plenty of scoring at SG, more than competent SF's with Iguodala and Young, a decent PF in Speights assuming he can get back to 100% and play some D, and size at the 5 with Hawes as well as a project 23 year old athletic freak in Mahinmi - another big body to put on Howard, Bynum, Perkins, etc.
