Maybe SAS is just on drugs or something else creating instability. That is how it will appear if all this is false.

What was the last story SAS reported that was true? This guy is all over the place and has no credible sources.

Re: Stephen A. Smith: LeBron to join Bosh in Miami
Did SAS just say that Miami would be able to add another player with the MLE?
If he did, then LOL... if he was talking about next year or something, I retract my LOL... but then it's LOL about even bringing that up.
He said something about 3 max guys and then 7-8 million to spend.
That interview wasn’t helpful to his credibility.

I'm going to have a stroke before this is all said and done. The vicodin and Ketel One don't seem to be helping at this point.
Can someone in the media just report that no one has any god damned idea what any one else is doing?

The things he said about the cap, however, shed light on the fact that he, at the very least, is making up how and why this thing would go down... or that his "sources" don't know much about the cap, either.
I'd venture to guess that it's the former.

I agree with that. He needs to have words coming out of his mouth.

And he earlier insisted that Lebron would sign early next week, when that's impossible under league rules. He can't sign until the end of next week. A small point but -- when taken with his misstatements about cap-related issues -- indicates that he's not exactly on top of the dynamics here.

Re: Stephen A. Smith: LeBron to join Bosh in Miami
Stephen A Smith's Sources could be:
1) LeBron's camp to try and pump up interest and create more buzz
2) Wade's camp trying to get writers to write about how great the threesome would be in order to perhaps help sway LeBron and Bosh
3) Bosh's camp because Bosh would rather be in south beach, but he knows that teaming up with LBJ is the best way to win chips
4) SAS's mom because SAS has been basically irrellevant for the last couple of years and she wants a new pair of shoes
5) Riley - because it is his wet dream
6) Wade's son at a urinal actually talking about his NBA playstation team

Re: Stephen A. Smith: LeBron to join Bosh in Miami
Posted this in the lebron james thread guess I will repost it here as well....
stephen a smith on ESPN 1000
- Got a couple of calls over the weekend and was told that is in all likelihood james is going to mia with bosh and wade
- james wants to play with riley and they build enough space for 2 maxes and wade
- james is desperate to play with athletes more so wade
- This is a fact if I am wrong I will come back on and eat crow
- isiah could of helped the knicks
- james wants to play for a defensive minded coach and dantoni lacks that
- james wants to play with 2 other stars and win multiple titles (talked aboutJordan needed Pippen, boston the big 3, kobe and shaq, kobe and gasol)
- Does not think johnson will get max from Bulls but knicks will offer him max
- Heard that johnson and amare are a pair and that if where one goes the other will follow. BOTH will go to new york
- Bulls might get shut out in FA
- I stand by my report and this is a foregone conclusion

Out of the Interview, i just notice that he pumps up the Miami and NY angle in Free Agency but downplays the bulls and even hates on them. Didn't he use to trash Noah all the time?

I think I've done about 10 hours of actual work in the last 2 weeks. I don't suspect I'll get a lot done between now and Thursday.

Screamin A was also the one leading the parade with Kobe coming to the Bulls 2 times in the last 5 years. Guy really has no credibility.

Right. And Thursday is when free agency starts.

This endless speculation and wait are freekin killing me. I would choose a cryogenic deep freeze until Thursday if I wasn't so worried about waking up to find atheist otters.

There are two options, and only two:
(a) His sources are reporting to him that this is going to happen (whether they are good or informed sources is a completely different question); or
(b) He's lying.
As confident as he seems with his statement(s), do you think he realises the Lebron outcome has a good chance of changing, just like it did with when he was a lock to go to NY? I mean, does Screaming A even seem aware of what he reported not long ago?

Re: Stephen A. Smith: LeBron to join Bosh in Miami
LeBron will only sign where it will undoubtedly be "his" team. It will be difficult to become the GOAT playing alongside someone like Wade. Too much of a power struggle. I don't see this being true at all.

Reporters are supposed to report the information they have. If what he is told changes, his reports will change. There is no shame in that.
P.S. I hate it that I'm coming off as some sort of SAS apologist here. He sucks balls and is both a cause and symptom of the dumbing down of sports coverage.
