Mitchell signs with Cavs as free agent

(Excerpt from article:)
Passed over in the NBA draft, left without a pro team for the moment, Tasmin Mitchell played it cool.

Concerned? He might have been a little concerned Thursday as the draft ended.

But the former LSU standout said he was sure he’d still fine a place in the NBA.

“My family taught me to never give up, to keep faith, that nothing is impossible,” Mitchell said. “They were always there for me, and I want a chance to make things happen for them.”

Now, he has that chance.

Mitchell confirmed Friday he will join the Cleveland Cavaliers and play for their summer-league team as a free agent.

Do we really need a rookie SF?

Well, I read somewhere (hoopshype I think) that Manny Harris has accepted an invite from the Cavs for the summer league. I would think the upper tier of undrafted FA's would find this team attrctive if Lebron goes. I know if I were in that position I would want to try to catch on with a rebuilding franchise.
Edit: BTW, I read somewhere that all of the summer league games are goning to be on NBA TV this year. Can anyone else confirm that?

Well, there's talk that our starting SF might not be back.

Just in case you guys hadn't heard yet. I got the scoop from a friend of my cousin's uncle's former college roommate who has an inside connection.

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
