This is where I think both you and Leto are wrong. Yes, it is more than an opinion. The man has sources, good, bad or otherwise. You are wrong to say it's fact, not opinion, the truth or a lie. It's not either or. The problem is not that Smith is an outright liar, it's that he's a showman. He has some info, and he's exaggerating it for effect. That's why nobody takes him seriously. He talks too loud and goes too far with his set in stone/take it to the bank routine.

And his statements about the Bulls probably are just opinions, as he never offers any evidence or logic to support them. He hasn't even thought it through with the Bulls. He's just following his logical trail. He says these guys go to MIA, Amare and JJ go to NYC (yeah, right) and thus, that means nothing for the Bulls.
