Shoe Thread

Post#1 » by M4P » Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:22 pm

What are the better performing bball shoes out there at the moment? I've played in the Adidas Supernatural Creators, Zoom Kobe IV - Vs, Hyperdunks, and Huarche 2k4s so far, and also got suckered into buying KDIIs. The Creators were probably the best so far, and the 2k4s were probably the most overrated. KDIIs sucked but I couldn't really complain since they were $60.

LOL I was thinking buying KDII, but after my ENOUGH experiment with Nike Zoom technology I think no more Zoom for me. Kobe I is great, but the rest suck. I hate 2K5, Hyperdunk sucks (too easy to roll your ankles, hey Detroit Pistons trainers got the same complain). I only wear Hyperdunk to run on treadmill (I think I'm better off buying a running shoes instead). The only Nike tech I trust now is Air Max, the rest can go to hell. Adidas is great, my favorite pairs basketball shoes now is Adidas TS Creator. Great ankle support and response well. Only bad thing is a little too heavy. Other Adidas TS is lighter but ankle support not so great. Now I need a new pair of basketball shoes.

Thinking buying Nike Air Max 2010 for running and still looking for basketball shoes. Adidas TS Cut Creator is damn ugly.

The strap on the KDII is literally useless, and the heel section of the shoe feels canvas/rubber-lite.

Best shoes ever.

It was the Hyperizes that the Piston's trainers banned not Hyperdunks  .

Great shoes you should give them a try ;), also as the other poster mentioned the tony parker shoes are good as well. Nike Lebron Soldier III, also it's pretty light compared to other Lebron shoes. 13.4 oz

I used to have some Iversons with "pads" like that, except they had hard rubber on the side. Turn your foot too far in a direction and *slip!*

Those look to curve up where the prone area for that is.

Devin Harris colorway. Lebron Soldier IIIs are a good choice - great for outdoors.

Yes, Max! The Nike Air Zoom Kobe 1s are totally awesome, and I still wear them (although I can't stand the bitch who first wore them)

My Kobe I don't last long. I threw it away when I moved to my new apartment. Seem like Adidas material last longer than Nike. I may go try the Adidas Supernatural Creator (what a funky name), sure don't like the look of it.

I actually like balling in lows. I'm a small guard so ankle injuries aren't as big of a concern for me. I also favor lightweight shoes. I'm balling in hyperdunk lows right now. They're ok not the best but I got them for $40 so I didn't expect too much from them.

Before that I was playing in TS creators, and they are were pretty good. Before that the Zoom BB1's which have been my favorite shoe in recent memory.

After a couple of break-ins, the KDII's performance stepped up. I guess you just have to get use to the cushioning :hoop:. The patent leather creases very easily though, and lacing up all the way is a must.

I think that this is where I show my age. I am currently playing in a pair of 1995 Spalding Olajuwon's. I found a pair on Ebay, snapped them up, and am wearing them now. Although, they are a "cheap" looking shoe, they are quite comfortable, plus the novelty of wearin' old Kicks!

These are the best shoes ever. I am currently hunting around for a pair in my size. When I stop playing Ball, these will be the last shoes I wear!!!!!! I have owned 2 pairs in my lifetime, and I will argue until I am blue in the face, that these are the best shoes ever, IMO!!!!!

I also have Yao's, Franchises Dominions, and those grey and red T-Macs McLady wore in an A/S game.

I used to work in Sports retail, shoes were cheap!

don't really like Adidas Supernatural Creator, feel kind of tight, go 1/2 size bigger seem too much toe space

Jordan CP is looking great, especially the black/white/maize colorway, but can't find one cheaper than $90

They're suppose to be tight, and you have to break them in a bit but I guess no shoe is perfect. Really looking to try on a pair of Hyperfuses though.

If you do go with the KDIIs, give it two good wears to break it in.
