Curtis Martin easily. Martin was the better runner, his patience behind the offensive line was uncanny. He was deceptively quick and elusive and had great hands. Freeman did have a better average carrying the ball, but was more prone to fumbles. He was never a big touchdown guy and had solid hands.
McNeil was good, but Curtis Martin was in a different class.
