I don't see why the Wizards are using all of their cap space for no reason. They had 25+ million in cap space this summer, why waste all of this on a guy like Hinrich and Yi? That doesn't make sense. They still have Arenas and a team might bite on him. Do they have a plan or are they trying to help every team? Walsh needs to make a call to them and get them to take on Curry. Some of these guys don't deserve a job in a NBA front office. Smh.

Someone should kick that SOB in the balls. 1st the Bulls & now the Nets.

Or his best to improve his team...

This board has to stop acting like there's some giant conspiracy by every team against the Knicks.

Thats all it would take and they could land anyone they want to pair with LBJ. They would put Hump in that package too so they would then have a few extra million (3 mil I think to sign a bench guy/shooter). You know TOR would jump on that so they didn't lose Bosh for nothing as long as he was down for that.

Things are going to be crazy come Thursday. There a 4 legit teams looking to make huge moves.

Wow. From being a lottery pick who tried to dictate where he was going to go to becoming a salary dump. Sad for Jianlian Yi. Good trade for Washington. The arena is very close to Chinatown and they need to sell tickets given that roster.

New Jersey seems to be in a very comparable position to Chicago.

1. Rose/Noah tandem compares to Harris/Lopez
2. Both have exactly $30 million free cap
3. Chicago has the best player (Rose), but NJ has Favors

While I agree about the conspiracy (there is none) Grunfield is doing a horribly bad job in creating opportunities for rival eastern conference teams while picking up marginal players. Seriously is having Hinrich and Yi worth giving two teams the opportunity to create a juggernaut team that could be unbeatable for them the next 10 years worth it?
If you are Washington you try to keep the opposition as weak as possible. Thanks to the Wizards two more eastern conference teams have the opportunity to put together a terrific team, even without James. Does anyone in his right mind think that if New Jersey adds Johnson and say Boozer,Stoudamire or Lee the wizards are gonna be able to challenge them the next 5-7 years?

It can't be in the Wizards best interest to make sure that Stoudamire,Boozer,Gay and possibly Nowitzki all end up in the eastern conference along with Wade,Bosh,James and Johnson.
I know this is reaching very far and speculating some but if after this summer there are 5 juggernaut teams in the east that are gonna pound the Wizards night in and night out Wizard fans will know who to blame.

I think he is worrying more about his team than what other teams MAY or may not do. If he can get those players for virtually nothing, why not? Maybe the Bulls will get LeBron, maybe not. Maybe the same with the Nets.

David Lee could...

...and Lee could have what he wants, which is to stay in NY.

This is a huge development. To me, this is much more worrysome than Miami's 3xMax FA (weak roster otherwise) or Chicago (playing in Jordan's shadow).

The Nets could bring Lebron and Lee on board, and still potentially trade for Paul (shorter deals, Favors, Crawford and Harris; although they'd probably need a third team to take on Devin Harris) or flip Harris for a shooter.
Amare Stoudamire - check

Chris Paul - on deck

THE KNICKS - WE'RE THE EFFIN' BEST!!!!!!!

Grunfield is probably trying to screw you guys so you can take Arenas.

rose/noah/deng/gibson < harris/lopez/favors/terrance williams
if NJ has some sort of pedigree/new arena or something else in their favor i would say they would be ahead of bulls, but as things stand right now they arent. If they manage to swing a trade for chris paul, then we will see......

This may be very true, but I highly doubt Walsh, after spending 2 long years clearing cap space and attempting to change the public image of the franchise, will waste it all by going after Arenas.

If Lebron's gone, that's a deal I'd take in a heartbeat. But Lee's one of the guys NJ can probably sign outright. So, yeah... no.

Wait, can they? Wow, I think they can.

Paul $14M = Harris $9M + Humphries $3M + T. Williams $2M + Favors ($Rookie?)

5. Lopez
4. Lee or Boozer ($13.5M)
3. LeBron ($16.5M)
2. ?
1. Chris Paul ($14M)

Yikes.

Washington is currently spending close to $30 million on the PG position alone. I don't think that's a good way to improve your team. Dude just hates the Knicks period.

SG: C. LEE

That would be a scary team but I can't see Lebron liking Boozer very much after what he did to CLE.
