I have to be honest, i had my doubts with these guys on the team.
Jenkins just was way to inconsistant last year, so i didnt think he would rebound from a terrible year. Mench just sucked when he came here so i wanted the brewers to get rid of him in the off-season,but he is just doing so well now i dont want to.
thoughts?

If you use them right they're good players. Fortunately Ned and company realized they should be platooned which makes for happy Brewers fans.

Exactly. All you had to do was look at their career splits to realize they could be a fantastic platoon.
and this has also led to an increase in their confidence-which will help ANY hitter. In fact, some might say it's the most important aspect (perhaps see JJ's streak at the plate).
In Jenkins case, I also think he's flourishing b/c he doesn't have the added pressure of having to be "the man" in this offense. He realizes the depth and power throughout the lineup, so he doesn't ahve to press for run production every time at the plate. I really think that has helped him relax up there.
I'd still try to move one of them + somebody like Vargas for a higher quality corner outfielder....

Why? The platoon is whats making them look so good and getting rid of one kind of takes away the platoon. On top of that, Vargas right now is our 4th best starter. My take is we ride these guys this year and let them leave to another team next year if they are too expensive. Then next year we could move Hall to Left, start Gywnn in Center, and keep Hart in right. I do not want another expensive guy on this team right now just cause all these guys are all going to start getting paid at the same time and with the talent they have, Prince, Hardy, and Weeks could all very easily be 10-15 million dollar men by that time and I do not want to let these guys walk. Maybe I am thinking too far ahead but I just look at how our payroll is very low due to the fact that we pay the kids peanuts and we all know that won't last. In reality, based on talent, I would say we have 100+ million dollar payroll team this year for around 70 million. Thats quite a good deal.

One more point I did just think of though. I know I have heard in an Attanasio interview that they team is basically getting ripped off right now with their TV contract and that it runs through 2010. That is right about the time those young guys will start making some big bucks I believe. If thats the case, I might just be a worry wort for nothing with regards to revenue. Plus with the winning team this year we are way ahead in attendance which should help. The latest numbers according to JSOnline are:
SEASON TOTAL (19 dates): 572,686 (30,141 avg.)
2006 ATTENDANCE (19 dates): 450,437 (23,707 avg.)
