Dahanty would bring high powered defense to any team defending against Bryant.

Exactly. Most of Dahntay's suitors would be teams in serious title contention, like Orlando, Boston, and the others.
I think Rush have the higher trade value but Larry would likely keep him, but if a good offer comes out, i wouldn't mind trading Rush for a starting PG.
Dunleavy would be tough to trade, IMO and we could end up keeping him. He's injury-prone and the last season did him nothing good.
And another thing, we also have Stephenson now, and teams could be interested in him, we can package him instead of Rush with an expiring, but we'll be getting a lower value, of course.

Not sure if you guys would like this deal, but the Sixers insider was saying a few weeks ago and that it still might happen, but Kapono for Foster straight up is a deal that has been discussed and both teams are deciding on whether or not it is necessary to do.

Before the draft, it was Thad and Lou Williams for Foster and the 10th pick. But that didn't play out since the Sixers main targets weren't there at 10.

But Philly needs to get rid of a SF and get a backup PF/C and they like Foster.

Would you guys be on board for a Kapono/Foster swap??

Pacers don't need a wing, and Kapono had a bad year last year, didn't he? And your rumor bout Lou Williams and Thaddeus Young for the 10, Lou Williams is the kind of player that is more productive on the bench than he is on the court. If Pacers got the second pick it might've been considered, but Philly wouldn't do that.

Pacers wouldn't consider Williams and Young for Foster and 10 because they could've traded down and got Bledoe or Bradley who both are just as good and probly have more potential than Lou.

It isn't a rumor. It was a deal that was talked about and had the right guy fallen to #10, it would have happened.

Where you see that at because I didn't see it anywhere? and Bird had a lot better options than Lou Williams. 76ers PR people probly put that out there. Cuz I was on everything about the Pacers during the draft and never saw that. Bird said there were offers sending Indiana back-up points to Indiana. This was probly that deal, and I'm glad he didn't take it cuz pacers lose no matter what takin Lou Williams in a trade.

Philly inside source. The deal was contingent on players falling to 10 that the Sixers wanted. Or players falling in general that they would have wanted the 10th pick to use in other trades.

Since the majority of posters are 'outsiders it his hard to believe when one claims to be an insider. I will agree that some people are better at reading between the lines of deceit to form an original opinion. They know something is going to happen by the change in the atmosphere. One thing is sure when it comes to the Pacers, unless Bird discloses something he is very tight-lipped, very suppresive in regards to shedding any light behind-the-scenes.

I feel bad for Philly. They've got inside sources leaking g4-classified info to the world, on a regular basis.

Well I feel sorry that you have such a limited knowledge of the way things work.

Our guy has been dead on with every move we've made that he predicted since the first Iverson deal. He even knows specific players involved in trades days before they happen. Geez. What a closed minded bunch.

Yup. It was agreed alright. Agreed that Indy wouldn't do the deal.

He had no insight into this one. Look at the deals in this draft and the past couple years. The deal likely would've been Thad and Lou for Jeff Foster straight up. Lou has years on a deal he's not worth, and Thad would've been the incentive to take on Lou for an expiring, let alone a very useful expiring in Foster. The #10 never could've been on the table. Plus, it appears that Bird has liked George for a while and was anticipating drafting him. Bird's the guy that makes moves for draft picks he likes. He's not Donnie Walsh who trades his draft picks for guys he thinks might help now.

That Lou and Thad proposal was already brought in before the draft by another sixers fan telling the same "legit" source. I think there's some truth in it but maybe Larry has some other plans other than acquiring those two. And with the drafting of George, Indiana wouldn't need Thad at all.
Lou Williams? maybe. But i don't think we can give that much other than expirings to convince Philly.
Bird might be looking for "cheaper" options other than Lou.
