My friend's fiancee went out of town and had this kid take care of her dog; well anywayyyy this kids 8th cousin's daughter from Oklahoma's teacher was traveling to Brazil and saw Beasily at the Miami airport just 14 portals from a flight to Salt Lake City.

Something is definitely in the oven boys, i can almost smell the fresh placenta of a newborn not-quite-blockbuster-or-even-approaching-thereat trade.

I'd do that deal.

Also: is it really so hard to spell players' names right? It seems like there's at least a thread a day on here with someone's name misspelled.

I think it would be interesting. Sounds like he could be had for free. We have a harder time getting FA's here. I don't think that the Jazz will be able to get anything better than him with the trade ex. I think that he kind of fits needs but is still rough around the edges.

I find it funny that people say the Jazz are too conservative but then don't want them to take risks like this. He would come off the bench. He would get easy baskets and have a great pg help him. He is only under contract for one more year and then a team option. If he doesn't work out, at minimum he is an expiring that can be moved or dropped at the end of the season.

IMHO Beasley would be a contributor with the Jazz. The skills and athleticism are there for sure; kid just need some veteran, reliable coaching/organzation support to get his head calm and straight. I'd give it some serious thought... and I certainly prefer to try this kid than to commit 90-100M to Boozer. It would be a BIG mistake for the Jazz organization; may be he deserves that much within the right frontcourt on another team (Orlando?) but certainly not with the Jazz.

For those of you who think that Beasley doesn't have the chops to make it in the NBA, you're wrong. Beasley's issue is himself, but he could be a solid role player with the Jazz if he could keep his head straight and work hard. If Miami wants to give him away, the Jazz should take a chance. After all he is SuperCool Beas...

He is dying for a change of scenery where the pressure is off and he has the fans supporting him. He went into Miami and was expected to be close to the player that Dwyane Wade was, and when he wasn't he got flustered and fell apart.

This may be a risk worth taking IF Beasley's off-court issues are under control. If, on the other hand, he's one misstep away from being suspended for a year under the substance-abuse policy (as I suspect) then you stay very far away.
