I forgot one, Clippers sign Gay and we then go and overpay for Morrow by several million.

So line up of Collinson, "SG" (to be addressed next year), Deng, Cousins/Love, Darko/Cousins - at least 30 wins, more if Cousins develops quicker - then playoffs next season
I missed the bold prediction.
That's pretty good, except for the whole not actually drafting Cousins thing.

+Wes Johnson makes the all rookie 2nd team.
-Flynn shows minimal improvements.
+Sessions has a better year then last year and plays more by the end of the year
+Corey Brewer becomes our best wing player.
-Ellington becomes the odd man out
+Hayward becomes a fan favorite because of his hustle and earns about 15 minutes a game.
-Al Jefferson gets traded this offseason, then completely recovers and plays with a chip on his shoulder and becomes an all-star while putting up 22/11 next year.
-Darko plays solid and puts up 10/6, but with Jefferson's emergence Minnesota fans sour on Darko and he starts to grumble by the end of the year
-Pekovic takes longer to adjust then we like
-Hollins doesn't play much at all
+Love puts up 18/12 and just misses the all-star team.
Totally agree with everything except the Love projections.

Re: Bold Predictions
I find it amusing (or depressing) that this thread has basically turned into the evil parallel universe version of the optimism thread.

I also have to say that predicting bad things for the Wolves isn't particularly bold.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Re: Bold Predictions
The rookies will beat the sophomores again. They may lack depth in the backcourt, but add Blake Griffin and a few euro bigs to the rookie class and they have an awesome starting lineup loaded with bigs. Jerebko, Gibson, and Blair are going to have their hands full with those guys.

Re: Bold Predictions
The Wolves trade Jefferson and Love, becoming the worst team in the league but still only getting #2 overall pick in the draft. The Wolves draft Perry Jones and we enter a KG 2.0 era with a core of Rubio, Wes, and Jones.
That's my bold prediction. I'll try to watch every single one of Baylor's games next year because I see a lot of Kevin Garnett in Perry Jones.

-Wes Johnson will be the best player in the Vegas Summer League.
-Wes Johnson will have a better rookie season than Evan Turner, but will not beat him in the rookie voting because he plays in Minnesota.
-Kevin Love will begin the season as the starting PF, but will eventually be moved to the bench in favor of Michael Beasley.
-Darko Milicic will become the fan favorite in Minnesota.

All these predictions are great and I think they are actually more "likely predictions" than "bold predicitons"
...but hasn't the last one already happened?

Wesley Johnson leads the Minnesota Timberwolves with 20 pts, 5 rebs and 5 assists per game to their first ever postseason in the past Garnett area
Al Jefferson - previously rumored to be traded - returns to beastly form and averages 23-12.

Re: Bold Predictions
By the end of the season Beasley will have become Minnesota's #1 option, excelling on a team that's built to compliment a star. He will show potential to play small forward and will see minutes there but will ultimately replace Love as the starting power forward.
Love will hate this idea at first but wins will shut his ugly face.
Minnesota will finish with a better record then the last 3 seasons, yet will finally move up in the draft for the first time in franchise history. Most will point to it as an example of how the lottery is unbiased but behind closed doors Stern will remind Kahn constantly of the "gift" he gave the team, also reminiscing on how he saved Washington and Chicago from sucking for all eternity and giving Oklahoma something to help them get on their feet. He will also remind us not to "Portland it up".
