One things for sure, a lot of questions about LeBron's personality will be answered this offseason. Should be interesting.

Re: Official Free Agency Thread
I just wonder how much input Lebron has had into how the FO has shaped the current Cavs squad. If he was pressuring them to make the Shaq and Jamison trades/maybe even the Hughes signing or the Wallace trade before that, then I don't feel bad for him, and he should take it like a man and resign.
But if Lebron was just minding his own business and they sculpted that craptacular team around him, then I think he has every right to go play for a team that might help him salvage the prime of his career.
As an NBA fan I would have much rather have seen Lebron going up against Kobe in the finals... but he doesn't have the players around him to make it that far. Without Lebron, that team wins 25 games tops.

Ronnie Brewer is my #1 realistic FA target. At 6'7'' 236 lb. he has the size and strength to guard SFs like Lebron and Melo. He's also a freakish athlete who plays well in transition. (Imagine a high flying SF like him running alongside Steph).

Well, since you all can't stand to use my thread, here:
Dirk and Pierce on the same market. And they're the BAD options.
Yeah, Warriors played this BEAUTIFULLY. Who wants to play FA 2010? Too much work!

hard to see him getting fired before the season begins, even if new ownership takes over.
my guess would be before the halfway point

Then this is indeed a lost lost lost lost season.
Fire him now and COHAN is on the hook for all the cash I believe.
Buy tix now!

Good call, Ima buy 30 season tickets just because of the pretty glitter Warriors PR has used on their e-mails recently.

Re: Official Free Agency Thread
The Joe Johnson news is really good for the FA period, if true. Taking him off the table is fantastic for everyone else.

Atlanta is taking a major step down after Johnson gets paid.
Now Rudy Gay is the guy a team may make a mistake on.
GREAT for the FA game.

Ronnie Brewer may be unrestriced soon. MEM announced Rudy Gay was extended a Q-offer, but nothing about Brewer. Yet.

Brewer would be a nice addition defensively, but why would he sign here over a playoff contender.

Do you think R. Brewer will be cheaper than Anthony Morrow?

Brewer's not that kind of player. Chances are he'll be playing for a team better then the Warriors next season, but we're not talking about an older player looking for a deep playoff run. We're talking about a player who will go where the money is.

I got no problem offering Brewer a 3yr10mil deal and that still gives us about half our MLE to use

Re: Official Free Agency Thread
Memphis traded to Utah a top 9 protected 1st for Brewer. And now Memphis lets him go a few months later for nothing. Horrible.
Return to Golden State Warriors
