That "huge" nets news? Source tell TKB that the Nets held serious discussions on CP3 but balked at taking okafor for cap reasons. #nbadraft

I'm starting to get a little anxious and excited. We've been building towards this day for years now and it's about to be here this Thursday!

Even if we miss out on Lebron, I could still see the chance we land Chris Paul and Danny Granger through trade.

I had a dream last night that had some sports chick saying that the Nets had traded for Chris Paul and Okafor, but were just waiting to announce it so that teams don't black list us in trading Yi to clear enough room for that max slot.

It was weird.

I too have had the sports dreams about the Nets. I actually had a dream last night as well, but mine involved Rudy Gay signing with us. I am not a big fan of Rudy Gay, but combine the two and we would have a pretty good team, lol.

BTW, Devin Harris is going along for the ride on all the free agent meetings, so I guess Chris Paul to NJ is officially dead...

Yup, Sam Presti killed it.

That...Sam Presti killed it when he traded for Cole Aldrich/MoPete, therefore knocking the Hornets out of Lux Tax land.

Aah, I see.
I thought you were either referring to the article that says the Nets are going after Presti as the new GM or that Presti was going to trade Westbrook for Chris Paul.

Neither one is correct, good sir.

Well as per NetsDaily...

Initial reports had Devin Harris onboard too, but team officials say that was never part of the plan.

I am just relieved that Yormack is going. No question...he HAS to be invloved. This guy strikes me as the type who THRIVES at how to package the sell. As that we have a great package...dressing it up just brings it home.

Other teams like the Knicks can only package. Lets face it...they have nothing to sell basketball wise...and Dolan's reputation is a big problem for them.

I don't trust Yormack as far as I can throw him.
Friggin' reversible jersey's, do your taxes day and numerous other shenanigans...
