Who could Denver get for Melo who better fits a rebuild (young, established production, big) than Jefferson?

If they're absolutely blowing it up, I think they'd prefer Love. I don't think Jefferson has much value right now to anyone.

The Flynn-Johnson-Melo 'Cuse Connection would be pretty sweet. Of course we'd have to lure Rony Seikaly, Billy Owens, and Derrick Coleman out of retirement to fill out the front court. Sherm Douglas would make a nice backup guard and of course no Syracuse all star team is complete without Dave Bing.

I don't think it's the city of Denver that's stopping him from signing an extension, but the fact that the FO has been penny pinching the last few years and they don't have enough to get over the hump as is.
