I really like Chalmers and for as much as Collison is hyped around here I think he's comparable

I don't think they're comparable at all. Chalmers is a decent defensive, spot up shooting point guard (would look good in L.A. actually), whereas Collison seems more of a quick, slashing, distributing point guard.

Not defending BC, quite frankly I think he should be fired. But still, there's a bit of a difference. His hands are tied now.

One could spin it though that Riley was still anticipating what would transpire this summer and was willing to stomach a season of two of middling mediocrity and pleading w/ Wade to be patient. Pat's crafty and sly - BC not so much although he would like the general public to believe in his now suspect reputation - wouldn't be surprising if Riley had looked long and hard at the near and distant (now present) future. Not a Riley apologist, but do think he's a slicker operator than Colangelo.

The way he said it's fake pretty well tells me it's real. What makes sense is he can't give away his sources too much. And keep in mind we have reports of other GM's thinking Miami is the place, but also we did hear from Stephen A Smith that Miami was a done deal for Bosh.

Just take Beasley and the trade exception. The other two guys are pretty useless. I remember when Bryan gave $2 mill to Maceo, which didn't seem like much but did take away from our cap space. All these small deals he takes on add up.
