The condition, called athlete's heart, causes the heart to be enlarged due to high amounts of exercise. It is common in athletes who work out for more than an hour each day as the heart tries to supply extra blood for the body. It is a benign condition but teams see the word "heart" and automatically get scared. He has had athlete's heart his entire life and it has never been a problem. He was always cleared to play in high school and at Alabama and has never been limited by the condition.

Hmm, after seeing the strength reports of Lawal and Collins, definitely feels like we went after "bangers" in the draft, which is a good thing. Hope they both make it on the team, can ditch Griffin.

Also excited about Reynolds, while I think most of us would have liked to see what Torrence could have done for us, I think Reynolds can be a solid bench guy as well.

Can't wait for summer league to see how these guys mesh.

He playing for Boston's summer league team. I can't wait to see Lawal play. If Amare walks I fully expect him to get 15-20 minutes a night backing up Clark. I highly doubt we spend anything until after the new CBA. There was an interview on BSoTS with the Georgia tech blog on SB Nation where they said he's actually got a more refined post game than Favors. I think he's got a bank shot, and he can get an open dunk. Doesn't say much about Favors.

I fully expect to see Collins and Lawal to be signed though. Cheap hard workers have a tendency to be fan favorites so there's not a whole lot of risk involved. They've got long wingspans to make up for their slight lack of height, and very good standing reaches. I wouldn't be surprised if Reynolds was with us too to fill out a roster spot for half a mil. If Amare walks, we'll probably resign Frye because we'll have plenty of money that we're hardly gonna spend.

Nash Dragic Reynolds
J-Rich LB
Hill Dudley Griffin?
Clark Lawal Collins
Lopez Frye Jones

That looks like a Sarver roster of budget players who can overachieve and get into the playoffs. Then you can market "they're all coming back next year cause they're on rookie contracts! Re-up for season tickets"

2 years behind Nash is good for shooting guards stuck in point guards bodies. Dragic was nothing close to a PG when he came to the league but his passing and court vision have taken a huge jump watching Nash and being mentored by him. I'd love Reynolds as our back-up/LB replacement.

Dragic was always a point guard. He always had the vision necessary to play the position. His progression had much more to do with the fact that he was a rookie and his role under Porter was stifling than Steve Nash's presence.

Mark McClune of FSN is reporting that Dwayne Collins got "Mr. Irrelevant" tattooed on his hand, and plans on wearing #60 on his jersey
