All it took was to trade Ammo and Derek FIsher for Hinrich then the Bulls would have bought out Fisher and he would have been back in LA shortly after. If they had done that nobody would be worrying about Farmar right now. The Cavs did it to big Z. Its not as if Fisher wouldn't have been able to return that same season and still win another ring.

And I told you that Fisher was an untouchable from the beginning and they want the Bulls to take on Sasha's contract instead to make things work for us finnically, and also I think we can get a better PG for less then price than Hinrich anyways. If Sasha was an expiring contract then the Lakers would had gladly done that trade just that we would had to sign a SF off the street for a few weeks until Luke gotten back.

a good summer in my opinion would be sign two players with MLE (Bell and Blake), sign Crittenton, and a cheap big man, bring fisher back, and bring the coach back

I was talking about last season before the deadline not going into the future. All I meant was that last deadline was basically the best and last chance to land Kirk.

Just wondering with Washington drafting Wall and trading for Hinrich I wonder what they do with Arenas. My guess is no team is going to touch him with that contract. If Wash were to buy him out anyone interested in Gilbert Arenas? With teams having big cap space many teams would offer more than the vet min which is all he deserves.

The Lakers deserve better

Trade away an expiring (Sasha) + a future pick, etc for a PG.

We are in win now mode.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

The Lakers are also in the hunt for a point guard and sources in LA say that they're making a strong push to sign free agent Steve Blake. Blake had a successful run in Portland the last few years before being traded to the Clippers at the February trade deadline.

With the way the market for free agency is being set, Ridnour and Blake will not be Lakers.
