Kings Potential Fa Targets.

Post#1 » by DickVitale » Thu Jul 1, 2010 5:01 am

Hey,

I was just checking realgm's free agency tracker - Here are the following 3 players they think we're "possibly" interested in :

1. Nate Robinson
2. Tracy McGrady
3. Randy Foye

Out of the 3 players - RealGm predicts that Nate Robinson will end up with the Kings - There is no evidence of this, I think it is merely a educated guess/prediction. What do you guys think of the possibility of either of these 3 players coming to Sacramento, and if you had to pick one of them who would it be?

here is the link to the free agency tracker if anyone is interested.

Nate is a real possibility. Kings have liked him for a couple of seasons and I would LOVE to get him here. He would be our new Bobby Jackson...

There is no chance we would get or want T-Mac

Randy Foye could be had for cheap. Dont know too much about his game.. Maybe he will turn into DWade as Dicky v said on draft night!!

What about a Ronnie Brewer? No QO so he is unrestricted... Would be a good 3rd guard. Probably would want to start though.

If only Adam Morrison could play the 2. We would be good to go...

Ronnie Brewer in a nice player, I wouldnt mind adding him to the backcourt. Would still need a PG

The thing with Nate is it further adds to this persona that we have potential headcases on our roster. Don't mind him as a player, i think he really matured in his Celtics stint.

Aaron Affolo? Same boat as Brewer

Raymond Felton?

Get into a 3 way for Aaron Brooks if the Rockets land Bosh in S+T

The more I've thought about Robinson, the more I think he'd be bad for this team. I don't think he's matured enough to be the "veteran" for this team. Also, I think he'll sign someone where he can get 30-35 minutes a night and have a chance at starting.

But he would be nice as Bobby Jackson 2.0.

Ugh, I don't want Robinson. Right now my list is:

Raymond Felton
Mike Miller
JJ Redick
CJ Watson

As of right now.

Nate gets so much hate... He's actually a fairly bright guy, plays with a lot of heart and energy, and he would fit great with the team! He might actually play better next to Tyreke than Beno for all we know. If he's willing to come here and accept any role we give him, than I don't really see why not.

He gets hate because he was known for being "immature" on a losing team. He played great on a winning team with proven veterans, but who knows how he'd react playing behind players who have only been in the league for 1-3 years?

What else is there to do on the Knicks? I agree there's some risk involved, but as long as we win, I'm sure Nate would be fine. Petrie seemed to show some interest in him in the past, so he's probably not all that concerned either.

As long as we win? There's still a 90% chance that we won't be a .500 team this year...which would be like the Knicks the last 2 years (under .500 but better record than us).

Yea, but unlike the Knicks, we're on the way up. The Knicks are, always have been, and probably always will be, going nowhere.

Please no Foye.

T-Mac I'd take for cheap.

Out of the players mentioned, though, Mike Miller is #1 on my list followed by JJ Reddick. But even if we can't get one of them, Casspi has shown he can be a great three point shooter. We just have to hope what we saw wasn't a fluke.

Why not?!?!

I think we should target Foye. He has the makings of a potential post-hype sleeper.

Mike miller would be ok...but he had a HORRIBLE season last year. Regressed across the board.

Wouldn't mind a trade for Fernandez or Bayless either

No love for Steve Blake? He's literally perfect for this team. Anyway, it's him or JJ Redick for me. Wouldn't kind Morrow or Miller either.
