Orlando....ORLANDO! Why not Vegas? Vegas steals our idea and steals our teams and then we go to ORLANDO? What gives, don't the Jazz know SLC will travel to Vegas....NOT Orlando. Uhhhgg.

I'm pretty sure they aren't trying to hustle merchandise at summer league games... They couldn't care less about the possibility of a few people from SLC going to watch the games.

Potential for trouble at Vegas? Very high.
Potential for trouble at Disney World? Not so much.
That is why the Jazz go to Orlando and not Vegas.

Super pumped. Our starting lineup is ridiculous for Jazz Summer League standards. Kind of surprised to see Sundiata with all of the bad vibes he supposedly gave off to the Jazz front office. I like him though. Love Jeffers. He is the best cheerleader the Jazz have ever had perhaps and I think those guys really are crucial for team chemistry, etc. Kosta sucks. Hayward needs to win us over. Always liked NIchols. The Jazz supposedly were considering drafting Harris in the 2nd round when he came out. Should be cool to watch.

Also intrigued by Evans. This was from Deron's BFF Matt Mitnick's twitter page:
"Just heard the kid Utah drafted in 2nd round broke every single record in combines said hes the most athletic player this guy has ever seen"
We need some of that. Sounds like an AK-style PF.

Evans is a athletic freak, he'll definitely be on my watch list.
Dominic Waters is a interesting prospect, shot really well last year for Portland State.
18.6 ppg on 48% shooting, 42% from 3, 90% from the foul line.
Jerome Randle was invited to the Washington team that will play in vegas.
we need a backup point that can shoot the 3 ball

This is a great group of players for the Jazz. I expect Jeffers to be the star player , I like Nichols and Augustine with outside shot to make roster. Evans sounds like a developement player with good upside.

Dominic is a good friend of mine and I'm thrilled that he's going to be playing this summer league. He's a true professional and a great player. The Jazz are officially my favorite team for the summer because of this acquisition.. I'll be watching his games, good luck you guys!

Since you are his friend can you tell me a little about him. He seems to be a unknown guy(playing in the Big Sky can do that to you), he doesn't even have a Draft Express profile page. You shoot 90% from the foul line, that's the sign of a good shooter and his 3 point % excites me. I'm interesting to seeing how he does in the summer league.

Yeah not a problem at all.. High school he had a pretty successful career averaging over 23 PPG and a MONSTER game against one of the top schools in the nation in 2005 scoring 46 points. I want to say it was Montrose Christian and they were ranked top 10 in the nation when they played at the Les Schwab inventational. Granted his team lost but Dominic's talent was undeniable. His HS team would have been a lot better if they had any true basketball players on the team. Unfortunately it was filled with football players that also played basketball, most notably Ndamukong Suh, who recently went #2 overall in the NFL draft.
He went to Hawaii and really struggled with the coaches and polotics. He was still able to find some success being the WAC Fershman player of the year in 2005-2006 but ultimately decided to PSU to be closer to friends and family.
To tell the truth it was a little disappointing the way his senior year played out at PSU because they were constantly battling injuries. Earlier on in the season he was shooting over 50% from behind the arc but after numerous injuries he was forced to create more shots for himself, Naturally this resulted in a decrease in his percentage.
I'm excited to see what he can do playing within a system though. If you're looking for a guy who's going to go one on one all game and dominate his opponent then you're looking in the wrong place. He plays good D, has great vision when passing, and can REALLY knock down shots to keep defenses honest.
Go Jazz!

I was excited to see Waters on your roster. I go to PSU and watched him several times this year. He's got a sweet, sweet jump shot
To Dare Is To Do? 13 League Titles. You've only got 2.

Re: Utah Jazz Summer League!
I really hope 5 years from now we aren't looking back shaking our head at the Jazz passing on George, Davis and Aldrich like we are doing now with Snyder and Humphries over Josh Smith and Al Jefferson.
