RealGM FA Tracker - Foye?

RealGM predicts Foye would sign with Indiana. I'm not sure Foye would receive a qualifying offer from Washington considering the addition of Hinrich. I'm not really that knowledgeable about contracts, etc. but can we have him by sign and trade?

Damn, I'm not sure Foye will sign anywhere until the last minute, when someone needs to fill a roster spot.

Has there been a worse lotto pick trade in recent memory than #5 for Foye/Mike Miller?

I like Foye. Could be a good option.

Gonna have to call you out on Bayless-Rush being worse. You can't say it was a bad trade now that we don't have a PG because we had just traded for TJ Ford and Jarrett Jack was included in the deal. Statistically, Bayless is shooting 0.8% better from the field. Rush is 1.1% better from 3-point range. You can argue that Bayless is 17% better from the free throw line if you want, but you'll probably feel silly when you find out that an additional 17% would have amounted to Brandon scoring 11 more points over the course of his career. You want to call that trade awful? No mention of Gasol for Gasol and what was essentially 2 2nd round picks, you want to call out the Pacers for trading comparable players and saving a little cash?

That was a salary dump by the Wizards they got rid of Songaila and Etan Thomas to the TWolves for the expiring contracts of Foye and Mike Miller. The cost to the Wiz was the #5 pick that became Johnny Flynn!

Bayless and Diogu for Jack, Rush and McBob? You are kidding! Bayless has done nothing, now if he does become a real good player you might be able to make a case but at this point Rush is just as good as Bayless, and Jack and McBob for Diogu is steal. Rush is a guy who could explode if he he gets more min and we still have McBob who I believe is a sleeper. Clearly McBob will not be a superstar but he's capable of becoming a Troy Murphy or better. 8-)

Potential is a funny thing sometimes it doesn't ever become realized! Bayless is gonna have to prove he's as good as some people think.

Who knows...it is possible that McRoberts ends up being the best player in that deal!

Randy Foye can light it up when he gets going. I remember him torching us a couple seasons ago for like 35 points (and a win) when he was still with Minnesota.

Tractor Trailer for some German guy will stand for a long time as the worst draft night deal.

I come in this thread thinking its about FA talk. Instead its all about Foye, and how the Pacers drafted the best PG in league history then traded him. come on guys really isnt this just beating a dead horse?

The thread title should have given you a pretty good hint that he would be discussed here.
