Mags, what? Considering how this thread has gone all over, I decided to bring up the Bible. Why are you on my case for that? Would you rather I edit the first words from my original post you took offense with? If anything, you should take a shot at my BEP Empire post in this thread.

You and I both know that it's not just this one post rich. In combination with the Politics Threads, you fail to respect others POVs and always throw in a condescending remark(s) toward it/them.
Can you make a lengthy debate w/o doing that?
Thanks.

For some reason torrents ruin my connection and take outrageous time to D/L...I think it's my firewall. Either way I'll def check out the science channel. I'm still chasing some letters of recommendation, but I will get back to you soon about that discussion.

Man, there's some crazy-azz shyt going on around here. I'll need to get me some shrooms before I come back here again. lol.
Frankly, I think we should direct our energies to more practical problems. How about a thread on "Anybody know how to plug an oil rig leak?"
And I wouldn't put it past this particular forum to come up with the answer!

Care to comment on what Hawthorne wrote also (remind me where what I wrote happened to be as remotely as insulting as this, outside of my comment just recently, and the BEP Empire video):
Man, there's some crazy-azz shyt going on around here. I'll need to get me some shrooms before I come back here again. lol.
I don't ALWAYS throw condescending remarks at people. In the Political Thread, I got into headed discussions with mugzi, and as far as I know, that was it. I post a comment that this thread has gone ALL over the map, with the most recent part being WAY all over the place. I will take back my wording as not being the best, but I WON'T back off saying that it has been on every possible direction in here, and that if it is going that way, then I will chime in also. What I had seen is people hurl bile at the Christian religion in this thread, and said all sorts of derogatory comments about religion, creationism and ID also. As much as I try to tolerate things like that, there is times when it just goes WAY over the line.

The first episode was great, but I forgot to download the 2nd, so I'm doing it now.

Yeah, they've been good to watch so far. This week's episode I think will deal with Time Travel.

Awesome, can't wait for it. The black hole episode was interesting too, but the best part IMO is the way they use the effects, really creative thinking.

Agreed, on both counts. The Science Channel really does their shows well in terms of production and flow. Many of their new shows even take their Documentaries to a new level by having sub-plots within the show, to let viewers feel what it would be like in Real Life if the topic were to be realized.

Rebooting the Bodies Immune System: Possible drug for many of the Bodies Diseases:
Click Me
--Mags
Click Me
A sign rests on the windowsill in the office of Jeffrey Bluestone, director of the Immune Tolerance Network and the Diabetes Center at the University of California at San Francisco. Measuring nearly three feet across, it reads “Club Bluestone” in pink and blue neon. It’s the sort of artifact you’d expect to find in a bar. But Bluestone is a world-renowned immunobiologist; his father-in-law had the sign made for him in the late 1980s when Bluestone was working long hours in his lab at the University of Chicago. As the night wore on and their energy faded, he and his colleagues would turn out the lights, turn on the sign and, propelled by the power of Bruce Springsteen, push forward with their research. “It was our version of partying,” he says.
Bluestone has worked in that lab and ones like it for almost 30 years, wrestling with one of the most vexing problems in medicine: how to keep the immune system from attacking the body itself. It’s been a challenging three decades. Immune researchers work on a biological defense system that’s comparable to the world’s greatest military. This military has millions of potential enemies but no clear leader; instead its members are on constant patrol, a hair trigger away from launching an attack. It’s a recipe for anarchy. Yet the majority of the time, the immune system knows when to hold back. Using processes we still don’t fully understand, a healthy person’s immune system is able to draw a clear line between the body’s own tissues, which it leaves untouched, and invaders, which it identifies and destroys.
The immune system can also be devastatingly destructive. The body’s tendency to reject organ transplants, attacking them as if they were dangerous foreign invaders, is well known. But more prevalent are autoimmune diseases, in which your immune cells attack your own tissues and organs. Left unchecked, these malfunctions can result in one of more than 80 known conditions, including Type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease and psoriasis. According to the Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, conditions like these affect more than 50 million Americans.
The perfect immune-modulating drug would target only the part of the system causing the problem. As of now, however, most immunosuppressive drugs work by dampening the entire immune system, which leaves the patient susceptible to short-term problems like infections and long-term afflictions as severe as cancer.

I like the reaction to ICP's "Miracles". ICP went viral with the reaction:
http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/f-cking-m ... -they-work
ICP does a video that ends up liking miracles, basically says it doesn't want science to ruin their wonder, and... blammo, the people pick one line out asking how magnets work (we know, but do we really know?) and called scientists liars, and firestorm... the thing went viral.

Did you see the last two episodes? The time travel episode was interesting, but latest episode was just great. The brane theory looks really promising, and kind of makes more sense to me than the inflation theory (of course only on my average human level, I don't know if it amkes more sense on the scientific level)

I only got to watch the time travel episode but it was really good, plenty of interesting stuff...although I've seen almost all of it before, it was presented well.

Also look at this interesting one. Supposedly this video has never been refuted, although there are rumors that the guy who took it said it was indeed fake afterwards, but he could have very well been influenced by the higher ups to say that. Alot of experts believe this is 100% real unaltered footage. So again make up ur own mind.

What do you think? Do you really think a small group of humans could do some of these with boards and rope in one night? Destroy crops without anybody hearing them? Some people believe that governments around the world make them using satellites with microwave lasers (ha). But my question is why would they do such an expensive thing only to cover them up and call them hoaxes? Why wouldnt the news cover them more if that was the case?
Frequent reports of strange balls of light (some captured on video) and sounds prior to the appearance of formations add fuel to the argument that they were being created by something unknown, either natural or a supernatural force.
Other odd occurrences have been reported, like electronic equipment failing to work inside the circles, then functioning normally once taken out and abnormal magnetic and radiation readings inside fresh circles. Not only does the physical appearance of the plants and soil seem to change, but there is change at the molecular level.
