Does Gooden4life still post on Realgm or was he banned from every team's forum?

If its anything other than 1 year guaranteed and 4 years of team options I shall be very anger.

It is a longer contract than I would have expected, but Gooden should look nice paired with Bogut. This is still just an MLE deal. To those posters comparing Gooden to Gadzuric, you might want to think about that one again.

You know what frustrates me? Stern will turn around and use this as an example of players not being paid what they are worth as he defends the very owners that give these players these insane contracts.

Look, if you are dumb enough to give Gooden a deal like this, you DESERVE to be in financial trouble. Instead of blaming the players for being overpaid, Stern needs to lecture his teams on how to do business.

why didnt they just resign charlie v? the bucks are going no where fast, bogut is going to have a terrible yr because maggette and gooden dont pass, and they dont defend so he will be in foul trouble.

Stern needs veto power to down stupid deals like this, protecting teams for their own good. And he needs to 'silence' the player association from complaining about unfair business practices as they need to stfu, there are enough worthless players making millions screw them

This is...... jawdropping.

As someone said above, unless it's first year guaranteed, then 4 consecutive team options, this is a terrible, awful deal for Milwaukee. Drew Gooden is a veteran player, sure. But he sucks. He really truly sucks.

There is a reason he hasn't stuck with any team - nobody has ever, ever said, 'yeah. Drew Gooden is surely a core guy we need to keep'. Because he never has been and never will be.

They would have been far better off signing Craig Smith, trading for any overpaid guy..... anything.

5 years, 32 million. Is absurd.

Milwaukee is writing the sequel on how not to build around your star point guard (the Hornets wrote the original volume).

In a few years things are going to get ugly unless Milwaukee makes some great draft picks / even greater trades...

Don't get me wrong Young Money is a Grade-A chucker right now but that combination of Jennings-Bogut has a lot of promise.

to me drew gooden is an engima. sure he's been with 8 teams in 8 years, but in every single one of those years he's been getting paid pretty well, it's not like he's struggling to stay in the league on the edge of euro/nbadl.. he must bring something to the table that 8 GMs liked... for what it's worth i have no idea what.

Why did Hammond overpay for gooden ? Its not like people were lininup to sign this guy. There is a reason he has played in so many teams.

He could have waited until end of july and sign this guy for half the price.
