Have Nets Made an Offer to Qyntel Woods?


Quyntel Woods was in last week for a workout...and Avery Johnson said nice things about him and his newfound maturity.

Now a Polish website quotes Woods' agent as saying the Nets have made the Polish League MVP an offer, but there's been no decision on whether he'll take it.

It's possible the 6'9" Woods has an offer like the one Julius Hodge got two summers ago: a non-guaranteed vets minimum contract and training camp invite.

Does the summer league have a set number of roster spots? That's probably what we'd sign him to. Summer league, camp, possibly preseason. We wouldn't give him a guaranteed roster spot unless he's certainly proved he's deserved one.

This guy has a pretty troubled past. I'm usually down to give guys a second chance, or third, or fourth, or fi...lol...but I really don't see the upside to having this guys amongst the youngins.
