Minny, Denver, Knicks and Nets showing interest in Charlotte RFA Tyrus Thomas, sources say. Charlotte insists it's motivated to keep him.

If this is true, than I'd be interested in acquiring the Bobcats pick that the Bulls hold the rights to.

Oh, and **** Wojnarowski.

Man, the Bobcats could sure use a low post scorer like Al Jefferson.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

How would we get the bull's pick if we are trading for Ty?

We talked about this on another thread, but I would be a fan of this deal (if we have given up on adding a stud wing) if we can sign Ty for a deal in the 6-8mil range and take the cap difference it would be awesome for flexibility and adding a defensive 3/4 to the rotation.

is Tryus Thomas a FA or a RFA,if he's a FA I would tell Kahn to throw what ever money we have left at signing him.I don't know what our cap is like now with the Rookies and Russians coming over. But I think a deal of four or five years at $4M or $5M a season should due it,or what the most I would offer.

I didn't get to see much of Tyrus as a Bobcat, but from what I saw of him in Chitown, I have major concerns about him... He would get in a Tyrus "Jordan" mode, play too much one on one and end up throwing up some questionable shots. I had a hard time watching him play other than the few exciting plays he would provide.

Maybe we can offer some type of Brewer,Hollins,Ellington combo and our pick to pry him away for the Bobcats. He would be a nice young back up for Love and still has a ton of upside.

Well he'll get double that.

honestly id rather have brewer on this team than tyrus. if thats what it comes down to.

id be open to him being involved (s/t as one of the pieces) in a trade for Big Al, but other than that, I do not see much potential for signing him outright...

and my chips are on him being overpaid after what i've seen today.

How would you manage the minutes with Pekovic, Love, Thomas, and Milicic? I could understand it if our fourth big was a combo forward, but Thomas is a power forward.

I'm getting really tired of hearing these kind of names, Kahn's obsession with a youtube highlight team has gotta stop

You could say that about every position on the roster right now. Does that mean we should just save our money and stop trying to improve the team?

I bet Kahn and Rambis will be all over Shannon Brown, another youtube sensation.

Yes. TT is going to get somewhere between $30 and $45 million. You don't give that to your #4 big, just like you don't give Lee $60 mil unless you've got a deal in place to move Love. I thought this offseason was combining assets to get a handful of impact players. Instead we've just added more numbers and we're going to give up the closest thing we have to a star.

The Wolves are interested in quick, athletic PFs. Jefferson doesn't fit that description. Lee and Thomas do.

Tyrus is a guy we could use. Al Jefferson didn't fit into what the Wolves staff & front office wanted.

Yes. Tyrus is an AHTLETIC forward. He is quick enough to guard out on the perimeter and would see time at both forward spots.

Im with krapinsky on this, we were a 15 win team last year, we can't ignore opportunities to improve our team because of minute distribution.

While there is no doubt that we are lacking an athletic big man, Thomas' BBIQ turns me off. Especially for the money that someone is going to throw at him. Kind of like a higher paid, more talented Hollins. We'd end up wanting to slap him like every other fans whose team he has been on.
