The worst case scenario for Raps fans is for teams to have doubts about Bosh and not want to give up any assets to sign and trade for him.

5 years $95 million and no draft picks is easier for a team to hand out than 6 years $125+ and giving up other assets.

I'm not really a bosh fan, but to his defense. BC has put some S*it players around him.

And were happy that he got the gig reporting for Leno, etc. This is who we are, though; it was inevitable that as soon as it became clear that Bosh was leaving, we'd decide that he was a very bad person without whom we're better off.

Wade had some pretty crappy teams around him as well. The only good team i can think of, is the year they won a ring..

Those S*it players would probably sweep the Wade-less heat in a series.

Nah, I don't begrudge him his media success.

Its just that this is the most critical time to sell yourself to teams that are selling themselves to you. Even though all teams know the scouting report to a T, they may blink when it comes to a max deal to a kid who has never won anything and presents himself to you with divided attention. Right or wrong it reflects badly on Chris. All he has to do is focus on business for a short time and then he can twitter his life away... to the applause of his admirers.

There was a whole lot of people who thought it was lame and desperate - even other players in the league.

Sorry, Miami and Riley deserve some criticism, too. They've played this 2010 game for two years now, selling their fans that there's a bigger plan worth buying into, leaking false reports about "done deals," and "they all talked about it during the Olympics" and whatnot.

I don't really think Bosh is handling this well, but the Heat are hypocrites for using the same mechanisms to sell their brand. When have the Heat been all about winning? One year when they spent to the tits. Every other season has been about selling Wade and Heat fans on some shifting horizon.

Reverse Psychology? Bosh sees this and tries to prove them wrong by signing with the Heat to win.

Heh, this is a league where a tonne of players have released uniformly-awful albums. The dial for lame attempts at seeking publicity goes up to 11, and Bosh is perhaps a 3.

That may be true, but I was responding to whysoserious who made it sound like there was some sort of reversal of opinion on Bosh's attention seeking. There has been some, but there was always a large number of people that didn't like it from the get go.

It's funny because if Bosh doesn't sign with Miami he will go from being the best PF in the league to an overrated PF on a bad team, RuPaul etc.

I hope he goes to Houston! :D

It has definitely gone from muted complaining to a full-blown critique of Bosh the player and person. There's a considerable gulf between being a little irked that he puts himself out there, and believing that he'll never accomplish anything because he's a selfish media whore of a diva who doesn't care about winning. This board didn't cross that threshold 'til it began convincing itself that we're better off without him.

11 would be a young Shaq, he must be the raised bar, but Bosh 3 out of 11? Do you really believe that?
