Man seriously Le Bron and Amare and company are causing some what of a traffic jam. Real deals can't get done to these doodie heads get their ish straighten out. Everyone's trying to hook up with the James train. The people we really want are stalling cos they want to jump on board. However I think Tony Allen is one of the few players that we are targeting that gets it. He wants to win and win now. Lakers and Celtics got a good thing going so why play with a bunch of wannabees?

Rookies typically aren't ready for prime time. Ebanks is a few years away from contributing, if he ever does. Remember the Chinese Magic Johnson? LOL He was the second coming around here.

We have a small window with Kobe, we need to fill it now with vets who are ready NOW.

Umm, I am gonna say he is referring to the NBA Finals. But honestly I think his problem was more decision making. He thought he could shoot over Kobe when 24 was all up in his grill. He took bad shots. But he killed us when he was able to take shots he was actually capable of making. He would get some pretty open looks with Kobe or Pau around.

I see no reason to bring this guy in. His offense is a negative and his defense would not be used coming off the bench. Yes, he did a good job staying on Kobe, but that doesnt say much when he is a back to Kobe for a few minutes a game. PASS
Cheers. — Mags

F*ck that. We already have too many guards coming off the bench that can't shoot. Tony Allen should be a last option, if everyone else we're looking at signs elsewhere.
Thank you, Phil.

Tony Allen? No thanks. I'd rather take my chances with Ebanks.

If we can get him for cheap I'd take him. He's without a doubt one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. I've seen him do a really good job on Kobe and LeBron. Plus I like his toughness and his mentality. He really gets after it and doesn't play outside his game from what I've seen. He knows he can't shoot so for the most part he goes to the rack or looks to score in transition.

At this point I'd love to have guys who come off the bench for us to have a role and give it to us night in and night out. Farmar and Brown were way too inconsistent and sometimes went away from what the team needed them to do. With a guy like Allen he'd know his role and his place.

Now that Miller's off the table, I'd definitely take a look at Allen. Guy can't shoot for isht, but for a couple of million a year you could do a lot worse than a good defensive stopper.

I'd rather take that than count on some second-round draft choice who's got about a 5% chance of getting legitimate minutes.

Do it. Nothing like giving the middle finger to Boston.
