Notifications?

Post#1 » by BeRight32 » Fri Jul 2, 2010 6:07 am

I didn't use the search button or anything so there might already be something about this but anyways...

Have you ever thought of adding notifications to RGM (ie faceboook)

I've always thought it would be cool...Say you post something one day forget about it and come back the next day and forget to respond. Notifications would help conversations continue instead of dieout. Maybe its just me that forgets where I post crap (cuz Im high half the time) but yea...

Would this be possible or would you have to redo the whole website?

That would likely take a bit of computer space, but if you forget which threads you posted in you can see an asterisk on the icon to the left of the thread title. Hopefully the search function will be back soon. It's a good idea. You also can bookmark topics if you make a post you really want to see responses for.

I've seen this at a few phpBB forums. You click a box when you're replying and it sends you an email when someone has replied to the thread.

There is a "View your posts" option right next to UCP and Messages thing at the top of the page that you can see all the recent posts you've made to see if there has been a reply.
