Sources involved are saying Wade is seriously considering Chicago's offer but a lot of execs aren't buying it. Think Miami still in control.

I don't buy it for a second, either. Not for a second. IMO both Wade and Bosh want to sign with Miami and are just playing games now. If this all falls through, as I expect that it will, I hope that people regard them as Beavis and Butthead.

Talking to the top free agents isn't wasting our time. It shows we are serious about contending for a title. And the only way Wade gets in the way of us getting Lebron is if he somehow keeps us from our meeting with him tomorrow. If he does some Spy vs. Spy stuff and switches up the road signs so we get lost on the way to the meeting I'll be ticked, but something tells me that's not happening.

This is the funny part, he says the reason Wade is doing this is to give some extra pub to his hometown.

Haha, ya I heard that too.

I agree re: this is just a ploy to weaken the Bulls, and maybe get Lebron not to sign here.

This could be very dangerous for the Bulls.

But what Wade doesn't know is GarPax are taping this also so they can go to Lebron and drop the tape that has Wade telling the Bulls "you don't need Lebron, I can bring Bosh here and we'll run over Lebron for the rest of his career." All this stuff can play both ways, Wade can use what the Bulls said to sway Lebron, The Bulls can use what Wade said to do the same.

While I'd much, much, much rather have LeBron, I don't think you could walk away from a Bosh / Wade combo if the two are both ready to commit.

I agree. Here's how it would have to be:

Henry Thomas: Dwyane and Chris are willing to commit to the Bulls right now.

Gar: That's exellent! John, Jerry? Would you all excuse me just one moment, I forgot to feed the meter.

*calmly steps out of room and then runs frantically out of earshot*

Gar: Leon, we're going to have to skip the meeting tomorrow. I need a committment from LeBron James immediately, and I mean right now, or we're locking up Bosh and Wade in 20 seconds.

Wasting our time by making it seem like he's interested, drawing it out (yet to be seen but I'm sure he will), so whilst the Bulls interview other players, they have this belief they can still sign Wade + (Bosh or Bron) if they move Deng. And then he just returns to sign with the Heat, and likely by then the majority of FA's have already signed with someone else

With all the optimism in this thread and on the Bulls board, someone has to be negative and I'm raising my hand for the job. I'm not the least bit excited

Hey guys, I've managed to create a really cool concoction that helps to ease the overwhelming tension we're all under:

3 Grams: Marijuana
2 Pints: Maker's Mark Whiskey
1 Box: Kleenex

Combine ingredients. Stir for 2 minutes. Enjoy.

I'm sure they'll have no problems finding role players of the approx talent of Rose, Noah, & Deng.

Its Day2 - and the Bulls haven't talked to Lebron yet. Unless Wade wants to play this game for the next week - he isn't drawing anything out.

Can people cool down on this 'double agent' BS. What exactly is Wade/Riley going to learn - that the Bulls are after Lebron?

Generally free agents aren't sent out like this to scare the bejeezus out of the home team's fanbase. That kind of thing puts a freeze on season ticket sales, doesnt it? What Heat fan is picking up the phone right now? If it's a master plan, it's not a very bright one.

It doesnt really affect the Bulls in any way. We are going into this thing with no leverage, and just a pitch to Lebron.
