Predictions for next season
Now that the roster is starting to take (unfortunate) shape, what are your thoughts?
Given the Suns clearly aren't going for an all-out rebuild, I'm hoping the team remains as competitive as possible. At this point, I would be happy with staying in contention for a playoff spot all season long.
In the west, it takes practically 50 wins to get into top 8, so question is, can the Suns make playoffs next year?

When I breeze past, breathe fast, on point like Steve Nash

Re: Predictions for next season
I wonder about the entire West Playoffs, actually. There's gonna be some shifting, even though it sounds like we're gonna end up with most of the best players in the league out East
But yeah, like I wonder what Houston can do if Yao is healthy, I can't wait to see how good the Thunder can get, etc.
We could probably make the playoffs if guys like JRich really step into a volume scoring role.
EDIT: are those lyrics in your sig? What from?

Cam'ron makes a reference to Nash in the song "Get 'em Daddy" featuring Hell Rell when he states "I got w**d h**h, When I breeze past, Breath fast, Eat a**, On point like Steve Nash"

37-42 wins seems realistic

I think we could do it (or right under 50 wins).
Honestly, i think Warrick will do ok here. I dont know if he is starter material, but his stats will definitely increase. I would have preferred Tyrus Thomas over him, but its too late for that now. As has been pointed out before, Warrick is Amare-lite. Hopefully Clark and Lawal will get some minutes and help with covering up what Amare left.

Re: Predictions for next season
I think making it about 7 or 8 in the West in pretty realistic. Last year we were completely overlooked to make the playoffs, but we made it to the WCF. Of ocurse back then we had Amare, but who knows? Someone can step up their game (i.e Clark) and become a huge force for the team.

Re: Predictions for next season
I think we'll be last seasons Houston. Very good team, fringe playoff's, maybe we'll make it maybe we'll won't. It'd almost be better to miss it for one season to be able to draft a good PF. Next draft is supposed to be full of them, much like this year

Re: Predictions for next season
Nash has yet to play in a sub 50-win season right?
I'll re-visit this closer to the start of the season but at this point I think we can scrape in a 50-win season. Even tho we have less talent we are very deep and seem to at least have a strategy/game plan that the players have bought into.
I still think we can make one more sign/trade by the start of the season.

Gonna be a depressing season. I'm gonna say 40-45 wins. I hope to god Nash doesn't regress this year.

Nice one. I think I selectively erased that season from my memory.

I'm thinking that We'll be around 41-41 or so. .500 on the season, no playoffs.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed
The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Don't know.
Maybe Earl Clark and Gani will give us a surprise.
I don't know and am unwilling to think about that.

Re: Predictions for next season
We'll hear things like:
"we have to wait some time to see who we are" and "we are staying positive"
Especially by Nash.
Then the season starts, we start to overachieve, people are talking how Suns got overlooked again and how Nash is redefining age. Meanwhile Lopez, Dragic and Dudley improve their games a little, and Warrick is having a career year finishing plays Nash sets up for him. Everything looks decent even though we take consistent pounding on the boards game after game after game.
Everybody on the team is talking how much guys like to play with each other and how much positive they stay.
We win between 47 and 50 games, in playoffs we got destroyed by good defensive team, which throws 3 defenders at Nash and take advantage of Suns lack of go-to scorer besides him. Frye goes for 38% from the floor in that series. If the other team isn't good on D, then we lose the series in 6 games, after few memorable and heroic performances and everybody's happy because the Suns were left for dead (again) but had a decent season )again).
Then we buckle up for offseason where we let J-Rich go for nothing and Sarver gives 20 million/4 year deal to Maurice Evans and 40million/5 year deal to CJ Miles.

Re: Predictions for next season
I don't see too much of a regression, especially with the progression Dragic, Lopez and Clark will make this offseason. I'd say we get the 4 or 5 seed and compete.
