So you're saying it's like we have 2 seven footers out there with our current projected starting lineup? Because Brand also has a 9'2" standing reach.

Remember that those "shoes" they wore were not used for just adding an inch or so in their height. But those shoes were also use for other measurements such as max. vert and several agility tests.

I don't think it's an issue if you wore a four inch high heels to make you look taller, as long as you can perform well in other test(vertical and different agility tests) using your height-boosting shoe.

Yup.

Actually, on paper, the Daly-EB42 frontcourt is a pretty intimidating presence down low. It's just that both guys have their issues. With Daly, looking like confused on the court. And EB42 has his injury to bother his game.

EB42's impressive standing reach could have also gave Collins, the idea of EB42 starting at the C position. Because, length wise, EB42 doesn't have an issue at the C position.

And while were at it I will take the 7footer from head to toe with the same skill set as the 6'8" guy even if the 6'8" guy has a higher standing reach. Some off you guys are rediculus!

As long as he wearing those shoes during the games, does it really matter? He is playing the game in his sneakers, so add that into his height.

Sem, you're a jerk. It doesn't get you anywhere in an argument to act like that.

If you call Jefferson 6'8", just call Amare 6'8", Horford 6'8", Cousins 6'9", Millsap 6'6", Boozer 6'7", Hawes 6'10", and so on...

I personally do. Guess it just depends on if you want to do the research or not. It's easier to just look at ESPN though, so if you go by your way and just subtract an inch or so off each guy, that's fine.

Beasley is listed at 6'10" when he's 6'7" without shoes.

Wait.. sorry if this is off topic, but Dedicated couldn't have seriously said he'd rather have Holiday - Turner - Young than Paul - Wade - Granger... Am I on punked?

And stuff like that is exactly why I'd rather go with their real height. The agents try to slot a player into a position he doesn't fit in just so he looks better to the media, fans, and teams. Beasley, like Thad, is listed at PF size so he's appealing to the masses. A SF with a PF skill set isn't all that appealing.

Thad was the same height as Iguodala in pre-draft measurements, but is listed at 6'8 and people cite his prototypical SF size as one of his advantages. What it all comes down to is that it's all a crap shoot and I wish ESPN and the NBA would have some class and tell the fans the truth once in a while.

Though it does raise questions, because last time I saw the Sixers up close in person, Thad looked a good bit taller than Iggy...Though Iguodala's arms borderline scared me.

Sixers out- Iggy
Sixers in- Przybilla, Rush, Batum

Blazers out- Przybilla, Bayless, Batum
Blazers in- Iggy

Pacers out- Rush
Pacers in- Bayless

For Sixers- They do this to get younger and to lock up the 1, 2 and 3 for the next 10 years with Holiday, Turner, and Batum. Rush would be a great 3 point shooter to bring off the bench to help spread the floor for Turner. If Przybilla is healthy he can play 20 minutes a game behind Hawes and if he isn't healthy it doesn't really matter much since he expires at the end of the 2010-2011 season. Sixers would have to package Young in a deal for a big man to make room at the wings for everyone.

For Blazers- They want to win now and Iggy helps them do that. Batum is a nice player with a lot of potential but he's probably 2-3 years away from hitting his prime while Iggy is already in his. With all the front court depth Przybilla is expendable. Bayless deserves a lot of minutes but he will never get them playing behind Andre Miller.

For Pacers- They need a point guard and have an abundance of wings (Granger, George, Stephenson, Jones, Dunleavy).

I will pass on a Joel Pryzbilla deal with Rush and Batum. JP suffered a major injury this season and Batum was also injured. :D

According to Portland fans, Batum is as untouchable as it gets. Add in the rumor that they turned down the 4th pick for Batum and I can't see them moving him. For us it's okay...Batum is talented for sure and he definitely fits well. Rush isn't bad and could be strong off the bench, but we'd need to move Kapono + Green still, hopefully for a big.

And I don't think many people see Bayless as a starting PG around the league. I really like the guy and would rather have him than Rush, but we'd have to move Lou for that to work.

Doesn't really matter that Przybilla was injured he could be out the entire season next year he still has value because he is expiring. Batum was injured at the beginning of last season he's fully recovered now. There isn't a huge gap in talent between Iggy/Batum and he could easily end up being way better than Iggy. We'd be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) not do this deal imo. I'd even add in a 2nd round pick to make Portland do it.
