I would very much like for the Kings to target Javaris Crittenton-a 6'4 22 year old point guard who won't back down from guarding Wall or Rose, is a good passer and is athletic as hell.

Critt would be interesting. Can't shoot three's but has some untapped potential possibly. What about Wesley Matthews? Young, good 3 point shooter, decent size. Didn't watch a lot of the Jazz so haven't seen him to much first hand but stats seem cool for a first year guy.

Nah he doesn't have any point guard skills. Kings don't need that. I'm more into a quick defensive PG to relieve Tyreke of Wall duty. Javaris (unless he got fat) is just that. He is also puts up great percentages inside the three point line.
To round out the roster I would sign J-Critt, and one of either Ryan Thompson or Dionte Christmas from summer league. None of those players are great, but each of them excel at something.

I really doubt Petrie actively goes after a guy like Critt.

This. Critt doesn't seem like a player Petrie would go after, and he really isn't good. Yes, he's a 6'5 200 pound guy, but I'd rather us go after Felton, even would rather want Farmar over Critt. What does he bring to the table besides his size and a gun?

Only 22 years old. Over 45% shooting inside the arc. Not only has the speed (not to mention size) to defend the faster PGs, but is aggressive and WANTS to.
I can't argue Critt over Felton other than by saying Felton's camp is going to want a ridiculous contract whereas Crittenton's camp would probably beg for the league minimum.
Honestly though you're right. Petrie should pay Felton as that completes the team and pushes it into the playoff picture. Then, depending on the development of Tyreke and Cousins, it makes the team a contender.

I don't think we're going to make a push for Felton. Felton will get the MLE, at the very least. If Blake can get 4/16, then what is Felton is going to get?

Re: Kings Potential Fa Targets.
Felton is just average and turned down 7 mill a year last year. He wouldn't complete the team but rather stick us with a long, bloated contract. I'd prefer Critt over Felton simply because of money. I'd rather go the cheap stopgap route simply because there is no one player who looks to be the longterm solution so why throw big dollars at some mediocre player just because you can. I really think Rudy would be a good fit for this team. Combo guard, can play the 1/2. Big and can shoot three. Value is at its lowest. We should see if we can get him cheap.
