^ Yea, he is...
He's is partly credited with keeping Houston relevant last year with the Landy trade happening and the underperformance of Ariza.

The raps should be looking to get brooks+battier+budinger+ariza+houston 2011 pick(swappable with nyk) to Toronto for bosh(s&t)+calderon+belinelli+future 2nd rounder thats a great deal IMO
Heres the breakdown bosh for brooks, battier, houston pick/nyk pick calderon for ariza shorter and better contract for a much better player especially defensively and budinger for belinelli which budinger has more potential and i think would be better for toronto turkoglu will have a better year thats a solid bench everybody needs 2 get minutes doesnt matter about starting or not i think we will be way better defensively and we wont struggle 2 score like ppl expect us 2 when bosh leaves thats a deep playoff team that will get out the first round trust

2010/2011 raptors lineup
brooks/jack/banks(expiring at the end of the year)
ariza/DeRozan/weems(expiring at the end of the year)
turkoglu/battier(expiring at the end of the year)/weems or derozan
eazy e/johnson/evans(expiring at the end of the year)
bargnani/alabi

You have to put some1 bigger or atleast his size beside bargnani. No scola or Brooks. Try and get 2 picks, budinger & ariza. Flip Ariza or Hedo. Include lowry if the numbers need to work.

Doubt that that would be the hold up. With the new media reports, appears that it instead seems to be that the Raps aren't liking what they are being offered in a S/T

Those of you dismissing Brooks' value are wrong. I suppose you can compare all the PER business to the point guards you have there in Toronto but Brooks makes about $2,000,000 and can score in bunches. Is he the best point guard? No, at least not yet; but he had to score more last season, which, I admit, is more of his strength.

Still, you could do a lot worse. IF Houston put him in the deal (i.e., if Toronto insisted on Brooks as part of the deal).

Among the teams out there, Houston has the best to offer. Other than Yao, and maybe Martin, anyone on the roster can at least be mentioned as part of a trade. If Toronto tries to use this situation to dump Hedo, well, that's worth a high draft pick in itself to help you clean house, but I don't know if that's gonna be part of the negotiations.

wrong. The most a team can offer Bosh is 5 years, the Raptors can offer the advantage of the extra year as they own his bird rights.

Read it again....I stated he would be S&T'd...that would get him 6 years.

Ripp had a different point....which is that BC would not S&T him at all.....but that is a different story.

I'm just stating that if Bosh is S&T'd at $15.7M, he won't lose much money over 6 years.

If Bosh demands to be S&T'd for $16.6M over 6 years, he will put all leverage back into BC's hands....but I'm not talking about leverage right now, only total earnings.

One important thing to remember about a Hou deal is they essentially have 1 NY pick to deal, not 2. The 2011 1st is a pick swap. We will probably be worse than NY next year, so it's unlikely we use it, or if we do the move up will be minimal like from 10 to 9.

With that kept in mind Houston has about as much to offer pick wise as Miami. They have some other assets, but still

The pick swap has nothing to do with our pick. You acquire Houston's 2011 pick and that can be swapped for NY's.

Just to clarify for you, Houston can offer the Knick pick swap option, or they can offer their own 2011 pick + the swap option, which makes it even more valuable.

Oh ok, I thought there might be a rule like that. Trading the swap option straight up would allow teams to take advantage of it by dealing it for greater value

Sounds like BC is getting low balled. Everyone curb there expectations on the return we get. It ain't gonna be pretty folks.

The Knick's picks aren't worth as much as people think. If they sign Amare and JJ and somehow move Curry for another player, they will be a playoff team.

Scola is good, but we are probably better off flipping him to another team. Hill would be a nice piece that we can keep our flip to another rebuilding team for a decent return.
