Would love to free up the five million he's making this coming season.Still a few pieces on the free agent market we could use.

I've been shopping him on team boards... only found two options

Philly- for Nocioni, but doubt Lakers want to take on that extra 6.5 mil of Noc (although if the lockout comes it's like he became an expiring too because his third year is team option)

Minny- some on their board would do Hollins (2.33, 2.48) for Sasha, 3 mil, NY's 2nd. Problem their is that they are using cap space and may need to save it- and that NY 2nd could be a high pick if they strike out in FA)

That's it. Nobody else would even consider Vujacic, and certainly without a 1st rdr.

Probably have to wait until the trade deadline when his salary has already been half paid and LA can kick in the rest so he can just be bought out.

Why would anyone want him. He SUCKS.

Even his national team cut his sorry arse. That tells you a lot. Im sorry to say that he is going to be with us until his contract is up. By far Luke and Sasha are Mitchs worst contracts.

So would LA fans do either of the two I was able to coerce out of other teams?

1. Philly (take on F- Nocioni, 6.75, 6.65) - straight swap
2. Minny (take on C- Hollins, 2.33, 2.48) - give up cash and 2nd
3. just hold him until the T.D. or let him expire ala Ammo.

What's your best option of these 3?

Funny thing about RealGM posters, they don't actually run teams. Option 2 is the worst out of all of them. Why pay 3 million + 4.91 million in contracts + 2nd round pick for a guy that makes 5.475 million?

Option 1 isn't as bad except we're an extra 8 million for a player that we don't need if we have Sasha? When Nocioni first came in the league I'd have said yes, but now he is overpaid.

Sasha is in a contract year. He's going to be a good spark this year because of that. Then, with him playing well and having value, we can trade him mid season for a real piece that need and actually get some value, because he'd have value plus he'd be an expiring contract.

All this past season I thought Sasha took a continuous beating to his ego and it obviously affected his game.. However, on the biggest stage he nailed his 2 free throws to ice the FINALS! I won't go so far as to say he earned his contract; but he did salvage a miserable season... BTW, long time reader/first time posting but I'll have alot to say like all us Laker fans..

SASHA

Everyone needs to stop talking ish about Sasha and saying he needs to be traded. He may not be the greatest ball player, and he may have moments. BUT he actually does bring something to the Lakers, he brings personality, character, when you think of the current Lakers, you think of him just like the rest of the team...HE IS A LAKER. He doesnt belong another team, that wouldnt even seem halfway right. WHo cares if he slips up on the court, shoots poorly, turns the ball over, or gets stupid fouls he shoulda never got. But he excepts his role, he hit the two most important free throws of his career, he hit some threes in the final. He is always cheery, he is a wonderful, and LOYAL teammate and Laker. If he ever goes to another team I would just be pissed. Not to mention hes like Kobe's lil brother, hes not going anywhere. Yall get off your ish on Sasha, he belongs in the purple and gold. BTW we won two ships with him on the team, he cant be that bad.
