Al Jefferson

Post#1 » by showemyerteef » Mon Jul 5, 2010 3:50 am

Any chance of using J-Rich's expiring contract to bring Al Jefferson to PHX? I'd part w/ JRich, Barbosa, Clark and a 1st if we could get Jefferson, Brewer and Rubio in exchange. I know Jefferson's an injury risk, but the suns have taken credit for Shaq's decent year and getting Amare to produce after devastating injuries...

Suns can't compete w/ LAL's size and talent up front, in addition to Kobe. I had hoped they would S&T Amare for Scola and Battier; it would have given them a much better rebounder / post-defender than Warrick, and Battier's one of the smarter players in the L and does as well as anyone can on Kobe. I'd like to see Jefferson here just so we have someone who can get points from the post in playoff-style ball.

Dude, Jefferson is already being talked about on the "Official Off-season Thread." No need to make another thread about the same topic.

I would send Jason Richardson for Al Jefferson. Keep Earl Clark. Hope Channing Frye signs somewhere else. Hope Hakim Warrick signs somewhere else. Then build around actual towers with Clark, Lopez, and Jefferson.

Would rather just see them keep J-Rich at this point. Before he was injured he was arguably the best post player in the league, ever since he's been injured though now he's just damaged goods like Amare, Bynum, Oden and other big men who have had unfortunate injuries.

hmm, it's an intriguing idea. Al Jeff would be a nice Amar'e replacement. All in all though I'd struggle to give up JRich and Barbs without getting a volume backcourt scorer in return. And Rubio is solid but it's either him or Dragic IMO.

dragic was great this season and my most improved seeing how i hated him last season but this year was great for him,he became a fan favourite and i just cant see rubio takin his shine just like that when he has yet to play an nba game

Mary is making a lot of sense today. Somebody hacked his account?

Anyways. Totally agree.

And if JRich doesn't work out we can always trade him at the deadline or let him expire. Don't move him now.

I like J-Rich too, but I can't try and pretend I would be fine watching a craptastic Hakim Warrick and Robin Lopez going against a Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. Would much prefer a taller, more dominant post player with AJ.
I'll take my chances with Al Jefferson especially with the Suns medical staff.

absolutely i would trade any player on the Suns roster except for Dragic for Big Al. He is just came back from an injury and still put up big numbers. It would be a completely different scheme. But its worth it. Dragic and Big Al would be an great core to start from.
