ORL/HOU

Gortat for Battier... Y'all need size in Gortat and it is depth in the frontcourt... We need Battier because we need a lock down defender... Thoughts??

No thanks, we would rather use that cash to re-sign Scola.

Morey already passed on him cause his price was too high

This is a better proposal than the one on Gortat for Scola since Rockets can afford to trade Battier. The question is what is the best return value for Battier if rockets would trade him. If Morey valued Gortat less than MLE then Morey will seek more compensation than Gortat alone.

I would do this in a second.

I like Brad Miller and all BUT IF Yao did go down, we aren't well off with him as a starter. It's a much different story with Gortat. And it would give us a C next season with Yao expiring, which could be a monster S&T for the Rockets.

I think it would a wise move for the future.

There's still Mike Miller's out there to nab with the MLE.

I think its a good trade, Gortat is better than Miller and is really active.

Return to Houston Rockets
