This respect and feelings malarky is the biggest dump of horse dung out there. The Wolves showed him 40 million plus ways of respect. Big Al is fine.
Urinesane is on to something. Someone is going to strike out in the FA frenzy and Al becomes viable at that point. Kahn is merely setting the stage.

I don't want either of them. Ellis is an unefficient SG who would be undersized there and Lee is an overrated older PF.

I agree with both points.
If this is all Al can get back in trade right now, I think we should keep him. Size, youth, rebounding, and low post scoring do not go out of style in the NBA.

I would keep Al too, but he's going to have to play better to improve his trade value and while I think that's likely, it's not guaranteed. If plays poorly again to start the season his value could continue to drop.

It's not that Ellis or Lee aren't valuable, they just aren't designed for this team. Well Lee is but honestly he wasn't anything to write home about till this year. Before that he was a garbage player who got his points off of offensive boards and broken plays. I just don't see a reason to trade an offensive threat for someone who doesn't have anywhere the same skill set as either Love or Jefferson.

It seems like a S&T for Lee is Kahn making a move just to say "I said FA would be big for us, so I went out and got someone who is considered a somewhat big name." even though it doesn't really change anything for the team.
If that's the case, I would rather just keep Al and have our FA pickups be Darko and Pek for this summer.
i dont think so dude.. this team doesnt change with 2 picksups,, and i dont think al is the right fit here, lee fits the system, way more athletic and runs better, if we pull off a trade where we get rid of jeffersons bad contract and end up with lee.. W. johnson, pekovic, darko, lee.. that would be the best off season the wolves have ever had besides sam and latrell

I just read through 9 pages and feel like I've totally wasted my time. I think all of this talk is pointless until Bron, Wade, Bosh, and Booz have destinations. Kahn sounds like the kind of guy who has a few backup plans in place, and they probably won't be recognized until the big fish are caught.
I have a feeling Kahn still get's low-balled based on the reception he's created about Al, but he still won't accept unless the deal is legit.
Like I said in a previous thread, if we don't get a really good option for Al, why not settle for some prospects and cap space, ensuring further flexibility and chanses to improve? I don't think our win record really matters until Rubios rookie season, and I believe that Rubio will come over next year or the year following depending on the CBA stuff.
I still believe that Al could be the #2 on a really good team. It's debateable that the likes of KG, Shaq in MIA, Pau Gasol, etc. are the #2 on a really good team. What kind of offers would those players fetch? AT LEAST a late round pick, cap space, and filler. If Al can get us a decent pick, space, and maybe a decent player to complete the rotation (depending on if Al gets moved with anyone else) I'll be fine. I just want Friday to come, because I think that some major deals will sign.....bringing more clarity to Kahns options.
