This is not personal and dont get offended .... How many years do you have to work in order to make 30 million?

My point is NOBODY needs 30 million. Its all greedy and the desire to feel powerfull earning a MAX contract

Bosh WANTS 30million, he does not NEED it.

Sorry, I can't hold it against a person for trying to make as much money as they can, especially in a situation like this where it's available and not that hard to get. He'd be dumb not to push for a S&T.

I totally understand. But my point is. Nobody needs that much money and therefore other aspects could/should be considered

1. City in where you will stay for next 5-6 years
2. Pride of winning championship being one of the major players (instead of just a vet joining in to earn a ring)
3 ... etc

If 30 million were a NEED, none of other factors could be considered.

one can never buy pride and hapiness.

correct me if i am wrong, but Bosh is 25. He will be 30 when the contract expires. Wade is already 38 signing a MAX. Bosh may not sign another MAX salary but it should still be a pretty good one.

So the loss on the 6th year would be greatly minimized from 30 million to lets say 15 million.

Again, to me he is just trying to get attention to hinself. Attention that Wade and Lebron are getting.

Bosh can make plenty of money if he and LeBron or Wade come here. Derek Fisher and Lamar Odon get commercials and they aren't all that good. Even Bill Wennington and Pax got commercials back in the day.

Perfect storm of temptation. Hometown. Family. Better core. If wade is torn, Riley must be begging wade to choose Riley over family. Awkward 12:47 PM Jul 4th via mobile web

Basically.

One thing I've again learned from this is that a good chunk of beat writers for basketball, are clueless.

If anyone can argue the screw family angle, I'm sure slick Pat can.

I mentioned yesterday, once you pit sports against your family, if you pick sports you are throwing your family under the bus, as Rivers and the Florida coach did.

Could they be included in a trade?

Nice sloppy reporting Ira, or is that intentional to make people freak out that they are leaving for Bosh.

NBA journalism - avoid it!

Heat fans recently seemed to be making fun of Ira on their board. Dont know how seriously we can take his conjectures.

Both guys had previously confirmed they were playing on the summer league team. That's why its interesting they are left off now.

Regarding Wade, the question I want to know is if Riley was in the meeting between Wade and the owner. If not, that's good for Chicago. Obviously, if Wade has made up his mind for Chicago, he is going to sit down with the head honcho and tell him out of respect (and probably ask for a sign and trade).

Ah. Wow.

And doh. Never even thought about a Wade sign and trade.

That's why you get the big bucks.

In before the, should we trade Rose or Noah or Wade. :banghead:

Bulls need to lockup Booz so the media can start saying "Maimi/Bosh" or "Bulls/Rose, Deng, Zion, Zaire, Booz, Taj, JJ, Noah & Omer" Pick a team Wade? :D

Yeah, I think it was just him and Arison.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Great point fish! I think he took the weekend to think and he may be giving the owner the courtesy of meeting with him face to face to tell him he may be leaving. Conjecture of course on my part, but that's what I have been thinking all day.
