2009-2010 Realgm Nets Forum Awards

Post#1 » by jerseyjac » Mon Jul 5, 2010 7:27 pm

On behalf of Rich and myself, despite some ups and downs and the worst season in Nets' franchise history, our forum has never been stronger...I'm not one who thinks this is real important, but Rich and I thought you guys truly deserved the recognition...
The Realgm members who post here everyday is why I continue to read and post on http://nets.realgm.com We've progressed, matured and have become a close knit group over the years, despite loosing a couple fans along the way...
The Nets future looks very promising no matter who we land in free agency. I look forward to talking about our new team with Nets fans here on Realgm and this growing Nets community who continue to enlighten, inform and support Nets basketball...NO MATTER WHAT!

Grazie mille Rich Rane...you are not only my consigliere, but a great leader and moderator...This forum would not look as good as it does without you...

I can feel the love JJ and RR. What's my award for anyway?

EDIT: I think E deserves a retired jersey as well, might as well do it now since I don't see him leaving us. Even if it's just celebrity appearances every summer :D

I'm just glad to be apart of this Nets board. I learn more about the game with each passing day and I have all of you to thank for that. I'm a die hard yankees fan so you should know how refreshing it is for me to talk about the Nets without this self-entitled arrogance most yankees fans have.

We have a bright future and I hope every single one of the posters listed in the OP stick around so we could all enjoy the success this team will have for years to come.

How fast can I be moderator? If everything goes as planned, I expect to be in contention next season and win a moderator nomination in one year minimum, and maximum in five years.

Europe = Australia

At least, that's what the Geico Commercials have taught me.

Ahahahaha! Nice!

As to why i dont post more? Honesty? I have no idea. Maybe, i see myself as more of a listener (a reader). Sometimes, my friends and even my wife would ask me why all of a sudden i would smile, laugh or giggle, and would tell me im weird. But what they dont know (actually, they know because when they first asked me before, i told them about us and they just didnt care, so i decided to not tell them again why) is i always check out our forum and see what's up.

I love our little Nets family here better than the other site. I used to like the other site but when i discovered Realgm, its like love at first sight.

Also, maybe being a hardworking father of 3 small children has a lot to do with me not having time to post more. I know it shouldnt be an excuse because there might be a lot of you thats more busier than me, but then again, i might just be more of a reader.

I will try to post more. Thank you.

Like Grant Hill, your behavior and actions on the court and off the court are stellar...I dont think Rich and I have ever seen you get into an arguement...you are probably the most well manored, friendly and supportive member we have...

yeh I remember  but seriously, treiz would of probably took two awards home, but we didnt want his head to get too big...you and treiz definitely win the overseas award for a Nets fan...we do admire how you guys follow the Nets while living outside of North America and still stay on top of things with the time difference...Cruz as well, who we recently saw posting again...

maybe next year we can expand on the awards categories...Including possibly the HOV award...

I can remember when you and Rich were just coming up...SOBs, used to drive me nuts...OT OT OT OT...nonstop... :D now you're at the top of your game and the only thing left say is we want more activity out of you...

We're looking forward to this year and the upcoming transition years...everyone jokes around in fun, that we have 10-12 guys, **** I remember when it was E and I debating and cursing back and forth about Nets basketball, yes you could actually curse back then on the boards...(SIC and Speedy might remember...)

Rich and I looked at it, there are approximately 40 Nets fans who have been supportive through the season from hell...not bad, considering that might be more than we had when we went to the finals...

No, we understand, there is only so much time in the day...its funny, I've always considered myself a read first type member on Realgm. I probably was on Realgm for months and months as a visitor reading, before I actually joined as a member...we just thought you should be acknowledged because your posts stand out to us and even though your post count is low for the amount of years you have been around...that obviously says a lot and we hope you post more...along with lurk, who we know also does a good amount of reading...both of you stood out to us as the titles states it all...

We also hoped to learn something new, which we did...Father of 3, you're a lucky man, kids are great and we'll take the time that you can give us...

I'm not even a starter?!?

Next time ya'll get a troll float their junk on here, don't expect me to pull an Enetric. Imma be just like "Ohhai welcome to the Nets board, enjoy your stay...." and aim for the Grant Hill and Wesley Person award.

Definitely love coming to this board, I feel like I really know some of you guys on here, definitely has the family and friends vibe to it which some of the other boards and sites lack. Maybe it's just because we're such a small and dedicated group that has somehow stuck with this franchise through the ups and downs. It's funny, cause when I'm hanging out with my friends they all talk about the Yankees and the Giants, a few the Jets and every time I bring up the Nets and they're like, "Oh this guy again, can't he give it a rest, we're talking about real teams and sports."

We should all meet up for a game in Newark this season, at least those that physically can.
