I see Miami taking Deng. There is minimum team salary around $43mil I believe. 25 Year starter and a pick. I think that's doable. S&T Taj for Bosh & Hedo. Rose, Wade, Hedo, Bosh & Noah?

It's not that simple. Why does everybody (media included) try to make it that simple?
In the end it really is that simple. People can talk all that want about winning, family, etc but to me the most telling variable is the $30M being left on the table.
wade is not broke lol. if the heat dont get him some help he's leaving
Damn I love Hip Hop!

I also don't understand either. If it were that simple wouldn't he have already re-signed by now, with the Heat being more than happy to give him that 6 year max deal? Are the Heat just not willing to commit like that yet, thus the hold up and all the drama?
This is so true, it's obvious that if DWade is not happy with who they get he's leaving or he would have signed by now.

Going through a divorce that will prove costly (see Elin Woods) for Wade no way he doesnt want that extra year at age 28. And the fact that he has family in Chicago is no new development.

The 6th year is nothing to sneeze at. It's a major factor. But they act like it's take the 6th year now, or get nothing later. Unless these guys retire or their game drops to scrub level, they'll get major money when they re-up. Do the names Dirk or Pearce mean anything to you?
If Wade makes up his mind he wants to leave, either because the roster is not to his liking or simply because his family, he also isn't going to stay JUST because Miami won't pull a S& T.

Not even the money is that simple. It's another year to the contract. It's not as simple as $30M more because it's really not that much more. The only way it's that much more is if Wade has some career ending injury that completely destroys his value in 5 years (at which point, yes, I realize he's 33, but it's still not $30M more).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking you can also include an opt out after a certain amount of years and then the Bulls can give him a Bird max themselves.
It's really oversimplifying and mischaracterizing things to just say it's $30M more, cut and dried.

Yeah, but not likely as much due to the new CBA coming up which everyone says won't be as friendly to the players if at all.

Because he hasn't decided yet and has no idea what Miami's roster is going to look like?
EDIT - Nevermind... I think I misunderstood what you were asking.

How would the Bulls with Boozer be that much better than the Jazz with Boozer? They'd probably only be slightly better.
WOW![]()
Besides Williams who does Utah have? Okur is not better than Noah.
Deng at SF is better than AK47 or Miles for them
Rose and Williams IMO even impact wise
We also have money to fill out the roster and like a poster above said look at what Utah has done in the west, east is much weaker.
Utah has never had a trio of Rose, Noah and Deng to surround Boozer.
Sum of the parts. Utah had five players who averaged double digits in scoring, six if you count CJ Miles' 9.9 ppg. Matthews nearly averaged double digits at 9.4 ppg.
They have a great system and a great coach. Better outside shooters than the Bulls. And at this point, a better PG in Williams.

However, Chicago is a much bigger market, and the Bulls are global brand, so Wade would probably earn much more from endorsements, playing in Chicago ...

I can't really imagine Wade getting more endorsements than he already does.

Chris Bosh is good, he's an all-star, but I don't think I'd want him. He's making it complicated to get one of Wade or LeBron. He wants to tag along with one of them and get paid the max with the S&T. But teams with capspace don't have much assets to satisfy that. And I'm kinda weary of giving Bosh the max to begin with. He'll be a 2nd option, getting paid an avg of 20 mil per yr.
I'd much rather have David Lee for 13.2 than Bosh as 16.6. He seems to be a better fit for this Bulls team. He's improving his outside shot and he can be one of our shooters. He's also a beast rebounder. The only downfall is his defense, but I'm hoping that Thibo and the whole team can help hide his weakness. He also adds length and bulk that can help us contend against teams like the Lakers.
Sign Wade or Lebron and add Lee, and we'll be set.

1000000000% agreed...Forget about Bosh...Get Lee signed up and go after Wade and LBJ...Simple as that...

Is it remotely possible for Miami to acquire Bosh in a s&t? They barely have anybody under contract to trade.

According to Ric Bucher a s&t is infinitely impossibly impossible for the Bulls, but yeah the Heat noooo problemo.

Do people realize that Lee might end up wanting to do a S&T with NY?

Re: Bosh and Wade @ Agents Office With Bulls
if we sign wade or lebron i dont care who we sign to play PF. i could even move Noah to PF and resign Brad to play center.
the problem is: Wade and Lebron likely want us to define the PF before they sign and although you may like Lee better, then same does not apply to them.
If we want to sign either we have to play their game. and their game is: bring bosh

Wade is a super-star while Rose is an all-star. Yet Rose is doing much better in jersey sales. Wade would absolutely make more money in endorsements in Chicago.
