Brandan Wright?

Post#1 » by Biscotti » Mon Jul 5, 2010 3:42 pm

Is reportedly available. And has also gained some much needed weight.

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100 ... NBA+career

-Runs the floor extremely welll
-Good shotblocker
-Good-excellent footwork.
-Good post game (We haven't had one of those since Boris...which is extremely sad)
-Low risk, high reward potential.

It would also give is a very long, athletic, and talented front count for the future.

Lopez 7'0" (7'5.5" wingspan)
Wright 6'10" (7'3.75")
Clark 6'10" (7'2.5")

Thoughts on how much he would cost to make him a Sun?

Not too sure about this one. the Warriors will definatly be asking for Dragic, but we all know the answer to that..

the most likely option is J-Rich's expiring? Maybe J-Rich for Gadzuric, Azubuike (or Turiaf) and Wright?

We dont have a need for Brandon Wright at the moment, but I'll still like him on our team.

I wouldn't mind rolling the dice with him, but I wouldn't give up anything of value. Guy has been in the league 3 years and played 77 games. Thats 77 out of a possible 246. Seems to be having a similar career to Johnathan Bender.

First, start with what ever the going rate for a hitman in SF is, because, until Nellie is offed, we can't trade with those scoundrels.

I would take a chance on him having real coaching from Gentry and Cartwright. A second round draft choice should do it. Guy needs playing time

Don Nelson - Destroyer of Careers. Was a time I liked Don but I think he's .... well, in journalism our code-phrase for this kind of behaviour was "tired and emotional", as in"the candidate appeared tired and emotional in an impromptu discussion with reporters the campaign plane"

this should be read as "the candidate was drunk to a life-threatening degree, wept and cursed, railed at God and threw punches randomly until finally becoming unconscious"

Wright would get injured picking up the phone when notified he was traded. No thanks.

Not sure why you think Wright is available. I mean, sure, anyone is available, in theory. But I have no reason to think the Warriors are looking to move Wright in particular.

I would take Wright if he came for cheap. If I remember right the Suns were very high on him when he was coming into the league. But, as was mentioned above, is there something that specifically mentions that Golden State is looking to move him?

Probably because he sucks and is always injured. He probably got hurt just as I typed this. Why wouldn't they trade him? I guess to you he's untouchable.

Lets assume what you say is true. Then why would the Suns want him?

The article quoted at the top of this thread has absolutely nothing on him being shopped, btw. Rather it talks about how the Warriors have not given up on him, picked up his option year, and are hoping for good things from him this season. I think the main reason for this is how good he looked in camp last season. He was the best player in camp according to the coaching staff and the beat reporters.

Hell if I know why they would want him. Some fans are grasping at anything right now for a replacement.

It would be rather funny to see JRich and Wright being traded for each other again.

Return to Phoenix Suns
