“At this point in my career, I should be an impact player,” Mason said. “The last two years, I proved I can play. I should have a key role on the (new) team.”


That statement alone explains what I've been saying about Mason all this time.

The guy thinks he's more than just a shooter. When the Spurs brought him in, they rave about his ability to create offensively and they talk about his ballhandling ability. Now the guy thinks he's Jordan. His ability to create involves the pick and role which ends up him shooting a 3 point jumpshot. His ballhandling ability? This is the NBA... As a guard, you have to be able to handle the ball, but he's got average ballhandling skills and no court vision. None.

I am so glad he's out of San Antonio. I do not want him taking minutes away from James Anderson or George Hill.

Mason had a good first year in the regular season then gave us nothing in the playoffs. This year he gave us nothing in the regular season and the playoffs. Bye Bye.
