It wasn't a football camp for kids you a** hole, later on he said he did it playing football w/ his friends.

You didn't know this at the time you made your post. This just makes Smith an idiot and you a jackass.

I wonder what it makes you.

Agreed completely. The only d-bag in this thread is the one who started the topic and continues to act like a jackass.

It doesn't make him a d-bag to get hurt. I think it's a bit of a dick move to join a rec league and invite your professional football playing teammates to try to wipe the floor with your decidedly less skilled opponents...kinda like Garnett inviting Pierce and Rondo to join him in a 5-5 YMCA league against some regular-ass people.

How ironic though, the guy never breaks his arm playing in the NFL but breaks it playing FLAG football against ''guys off the street''.

I remember Smith breaking his leg vs us in 2004 but I totally forgot that he broke his arm last December.

At least he wasn't playing flag football on the beach like the NFL used to do for the "Rookie Pro Bowl". Then Robert Edwards f'd up his knee so bad that he almost had to have it amputated...No more rookie game on the beach in Hawaii.

It would be a thrill for three seconds until you got your ass whooped, and watched them dominate the league. But, then again, you're used to having that happen to you on the basketball court so it might not be much of a difference to you. :D

I would love to ball with some pros even if I was getting smoked. It's the ultimate measuring stick. Even if they beat you 99 times out of 100. The one time you stopped them would be a story to tell your kids about forever provided you could get that stop. I remember getting smoked by Michael Bennett in track on the 4x100 relay and even though he whooped me, I love telling the story. Just like I loved losing to the eventual national champion in wrestling in Ryan lewis from Waukesha south or the eventual national champ in cross country in gabe Jennings. Who cares if you lose to that level of athlete. Just being in the same ring with them is cool and a great story to tell. I guarantee you I could have beaten Bennett in cross country, or Jennings in wrestling though. Not sure I could have beaten Lewis in anything though, haha. Guy was a great all around athlete.

If he was playing to entertain the fans then that's pretty cool. If he was playing to boost his ego and talk to smack to a bunch of scrubs then he's probably a d-bag.
