I hate the contract but really do not think you guys had much choice. Losing him for nothing would have been very bad. At least now you can try to trade him before he gets too old. What is up with Horford? Are you guys going to keep him?

Obviously Rashard's. LOL he's never come close to being an allstar. However he plays with the second most effective player in the league so that contract is not a franchise killer.

Which brings an intersting point. Of last seasons max contracts in the league, how many of the were repaid by max like performances?

probably about 30%.

What? Shard's a 2x All Star. He was pretty nasty right before he signed with Orlando too, had him in my fantasy league and he was wrecking shop until he got injured.

Way too many players get max contracts.

If Joe starts shooting off of the screens Drew says he'll create, then the contract was worth it. There's great reason to believe it'll happen, as we can blame Woodson for the old offense.

If Joe keeps pounding the ball for 21 seconds before shooting, we're sunk -- no doubt. The offense will falter, the fans will leave and the other players will go free agent (HORFORD!!!) as soon as they can.

But the gamble to sign him was our best option.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Drew's offense can't be judged until the playoffs. The Hawks had the 2nd highest offensive rating in the regular season.

Oh well.. Whats done is done and we can't change it. I just hope whoever takes the floor next season, wearing a Hawks jersey, leaves it all on the floor every night. Them guys just have to go out there and fight every night with what they have, because they can't control who gets signed or not signed to play next to them. I'm pulling for the guys on the floor, Go Hawks!
