ESPN Chris Broussard reporting that Bosh wants that 6th year VERY, VERY badly. Chicago, Miami, and NY have nothing to offer there. That leaves Houston for now. I think we can beat Scola/Ariza with a Smith/Marvin or Horford/Marvin type offer. Although I think it'd take Josh Smith to get it done.
Plus, now that JJ has resigned, Bosh might be willing to take Hawks seriously. I know I love Smoove, but this is CB we're talking about...and if we could keep Horford...
Horford/CB/Johnson/Crawford as good as anyone in the east.
Yes, I know it's espn, but this is for fun.
Get on the phone Joe and make it happen, you got $119M make some dang phone calls.

I think Josh Smith for Bosh in a sign and trade would work fine for the Raptors. Bosh could play the 5 and allow Horford to move to the 4 which he wants to do.

Bosh doesn't want to play the 5. He is very adamant about that.

And Horford doesn't want to play C either. Shell the Bosh to Atlanta rumors and he doesn't make us better. It's not like he's CP3, Melo, or Bron for us.

Re: Bosh wants 6th year!
First of all, I fail to see any scenario with CP3, Bron, or Melo coming to Atlanta. Especially not for the garbage proposals people submit.
Having a Bosh/Johnson pairing is as good as any top 2 player combo in the NBA...especially considering we already have JJ on our team!
I think Horford/Bosh would work great on the frontline. They complement each other really well in terms of skills sets. However, if it doesn't work out, it will be really, really easy to trade Horford for a true center or evan a PG like Tony Parker, maybe Collison if he becomes available. That issue can be dealt with later. There aren't a lot of true centers out there in first place Bosh can just go next to...even if he went to the Lakers for Bynum, he'd play with Gasol.
Bottom line is that if there is any opportunity to get Bosh for Smith, I'd do it in a second. I'd try a package around Horford but Horford/Marvin is definitely worse than Scola/Ariza.
Name some 2 player combos in the NBA better than Bosh/Johnson...Kobe/Gasol, KG/Pierce maybe, Howard/Nelson? Melo/Billups? Dirk/Kidd? I'd take our pair over any of those (minus Kobe/Gasol).
Bosh to Atlanta would be epic!

Re: Bosh wants 6th year!
No one wants to play C. It's just the way it is.
I've thought about Josh Smith for Chris Bosh for some time, but truthfully I don't think it makes financial sense. Bosh just isn't that many millions dollars (8-9 per season) better than Josh or Al. If Bosh was a PG or a C I'd sacrifice Josh in a heartbeat, but Bosh doesn't help us solve our position issues.

Bosh at the 5? Good god, that would be bad.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.
