Is it wrong I kinda hope out of the playoffs but more so towards 11-12 range so it backfires on Sarver "trying to stay competitive?"

New Orleans and Houston will replace PHX and Utah. 10 seed sounds about right.

Re: what seed does everyone think phoenix will get next year?
Funny, same people were saying that the Suns wouldn't make the playoffs last season. New Orleans isn't replacing anyone... Houston will probably end up being without Yao Ming again because he's 7'5" of glass bones. What move has Memphis made to make them any better than last year? Clippers/GSW/Kings... none of them will do any better than they did this past season, most likely.
If the Suns are smart and push to get David Lee, I'd say anywhere in the 2-5 seed. If they don't get Lee (which would be moronic) I still see them around 4-7 seed. Everyone on this board always has to be so damn gloomy.

Well, I mean... it would be hard for them to be worse. BUT... don't forget you're talking about the Clippers. People always seem to think the Clippers will be better, but they continue to keep proving everyone wrong year after year. Kings might be slightly better next season, but still, Tyreke Evans isn't going to be enough to give them many more wins than they got last season. Cousins won't make much of a difference, IMO. Maybe by next season.

If you're a "seed" you're in the playoffs, so at this point, I would be thrilled with being a "seed", period.
When I breeze past, breathe fast, on point like Steve Nash

When Chris Paul is healthy the Hornets make the playoffs, Period.

Re: what seed does everyone think phoenix will get next year?
Ima be optimistic, saying we'll get the 3 seed again, because of a more consistant season, with less slumps. We'll be running again, so we'll beat teams we're supposed to, and I think we can still stick it to teams like the nuggets(we've always played them well), mavs and jazz for at least one win against each of those teams(2 against denver). I don't think we'll go past the second round though in the playoffs.

His surrounding team is TERRIBLE. Its asking a lot. If the Suns were comprised of the Hornets players other than Paul... replaced with Nash, IN HIS PRIME, you'd be saying the Suns wouldn't make the playoffs... and IMO Nash in his prime is better than Chris Paul has yet to be. Everyone is just so negative towards the Suns that its funny people call themselves Suns fans. I'm not a $arver fan, but I have faith that this team could get it done without Amar'e (especially if they end up getting David Lee). Amar'e was left on the bench at many crucial junctures in games last season and the Suns excelled.

Re: what seed does everyone think phoenix will get next year?
I'm thinking top 5. LA, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix with OKC/Portland/San Antonio/Utah fighting for the other 3 spots.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: what seed does everyone think phoenix will get next year?
About 1-2 weeks to early to tell. Too much that it depends upon. How will Houston fare in FA? How much do the Grizzlies/Kings improve? What happens with us??? If our lineup looks like this...
Nash/Dragic/(Scottie Reynolds)
JRich/West*/(Scottie Reynolds)
Hill/Dudley/Moon/Clark
Lee/Warrick/Lawal/Clark
Lopez/Frye/
*Waive West, Move Moon to SG
Then I believe we get top 3-4 seed, without a doubt.
However...
Nash/Dragic/(Scottie Renolds)
JRich/Barbosa/(Reynolds)
Hill/Dudley/Clark
Warrick/Lawal/D. Collins
Lopez/ Frye
Gets us anywhere from 6-10. Probably 9th.

If we sign Lee, 4th or 5th. If we stand pat, 7-10th in a stacked west.
Anything can happen once you're in the playoffs, and I'll be optimistic and looking forward to seeing our new look Suns with our 2nd best, and most cancerous player in New York. You never know, with our young guys furthering their roles and development and the me me me Amare gone, we might just be pretty good.
