It can just be a figure of speech someone uses to protect themselves in case some event causes the decision to change.

Yep. That said, that one came out of the blue. He reported it first. This Lebron thing is entirely different. With Bosh and Wade going to Miami, it's obvious Lebron will sign with NY (or Miami).

Capn'O wrote:IIRC Blueseats cited blackbishop in one of his classic anti-Isiah rants before he went out of his way to get banned. Perhaps the post where he said "I don't care if the Knicks get rid of both Marbury and Brown but if Marbury outlasts Brown I'll take cyanide and jump off the Brooklyn Bridge".

Good old days...Blueseats was one of the best posters. If we sign Lebron, there should be a reunion with Nynex, Zinoviev, Blueseats, Jazz(FU), Majorleads, Ladyknick, PowerForward99, TheVoice, CrazyEyes, RayKnick, KnickFan, MGW33 and the other oldschool posters who suffered with us during Layden and Isiah eras.

I remember those days and posters well.. NYNEX and I go back to the daily news forum almost 10 years ago..... ( I think that is where I first encountered him) Also BBfreak, who is a miami heat poster used to have some heated convos on the old site as well....

Everyone with sources the past few weeks have been used and abused to a point where we need to evaluate is this a fair form of consuming information anymore?

This is no knock against bishop but I just am cautious of anyone with sources now.

Because everyone else with "sources" is a "journalist" trying to break a story. bb has been providing us with tidbits of insider info before it is public for a LONG time now. I trust him, and I appreciate his work. You don't have to, it's not god's word and you'll find out in 33 hours anyway.

Why on earth would Lebron want to come to NYC if he could stay in CLEVELAND????

Keep in mind that the journalists have to opine something. They can't stay silent and simply state "wait and see". So, even if they change their minds every day or just decide to change their predictions for no particular reason every day, it keeps the journalists name out there even if he/she comes off looking like a baffoon.

BTW....speaking of such....who was it that took a look at and listened to this Broussard fellow and thought to themselves "this guy belongs on TV"? Amazing how some get jobs.

You really think that the biggest decision he's about to announce on national TV hasn't been decided already?

I believe Blackbishop's word 100%, the guy rarely fails.

But in this case, not much was really said, he might still go back to Cleveland.

This whole thing seems to have been planned for a while now. He clearly knows where he is going, and if it's Cleveland, why go through this entire spectacle just to stay, especially since common sense would show that all of this marketing stuff has been planned for a while. What does he gain by staying in Cleveland? Also, he isn't going to Miami to take less money, these guys have huge egos. I agree with Knicksgod, it's down to Chicago and NY.

I have no idea how Lebron does or doesn't think. But I do know what the poster has said - and I know that he's NOT claiming privately that he has more than he's said.

As long as it's not Chicago, I can live with that.

I'm sorry but the fact that he's had multiple meetings with the Knicks shows me that he has the most interest in the Knicks. Spike Lee's cryptic response and Tommy Dee's claim about Mav coming to NY also boosts my confidence. There's just too much stuff pointing to NY. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well...

Tommy Dee doesn't know anything. Carter is not coming to NY. The Knicks already shot it down, according to Berman.

The description at this point should not be leaning. LBJ knows where he is going now.

Multiple?

As far as I know, Lebron has only had one meeting with the Knicks?
